Heather Gilbert
School is more than an academic challenge. It's often a time when long-standing patterns in relationships, identity, and self-expectations become impossible to ignore. You may find yourself constantly meeting others' expectations, questioning your own decisions, struggling to set boundaries, or feeling responsible for keeping the peace in your relationships while losing sight of what you need.
My practice is dedicated to helping students understand how these patterns developed and why they may no longer serve them. Together, we'll explore the ways you've learned to relate to yourself and others, strengthen your sense of self, and help you develop the confidence to make choices that reflect your values rather than guilt, fear, or the expectations of others. You don't have to choose between caring about the people in your life and caring for yourself.
My approach is evidence-based, trauma-informed, and grounded in genuine curiosity about your unique story. Whether you're navigating academic pressure, relationship challenges, family expectations, or major life transitions, therapy offers a space to better understand yourself, build self-trust, and create relationships that support both connection and authenticity.
