"I can’t say no to others." "I always feel overwhelmed." "I can’t control my emotions." If you’ve ever had thoughts like these, you’re not alone. Living with anxiety, depression, or the impact of trauma can leave you feeling stuck in the same relationship patterns, asking yourself, “Why do I keep doing this?” These experiences can create self-doubt and make you question whether change is possible. But here’s the truth: you’re not broken. Therapy isn’t about fixing you, it's about reconnecting with your authentic self, learning to navigate your emotions, and finding ways to feel more grounded, balanced, and confident. My work is built on a foundation of the belief that everyone possesses health, sanity, and wisdom regardless of how disconnected they feel from it or the problems presenting in their life. I support clients tired of being pathologized and ready to become authors of their own experience through self-defined narratives of healing. For over 10 years, I served my community as a crisis counselor in various capacities and sat with folks experiencing the worst moment of their lives. I have yet to meet a person who is beyond help or "too much." Through my career, I have honed a unique ability to work with suicidal thoughts, addiction, anger and psychosis. You are not broken. You are not alone. From city streets to field medical tents in the mountains, I have seen the most extreme forms of mental anguish and learned even in the darkest nights there is always hope, beauty and resilience to be found. Let me help you discover the same.

My expertice is in treating anxiety disorders, personality disorders, mood disorders and eating disorders. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, emotion dysregulation, self-injury, suicidal ideation, depression, restrictive eating, bing purge behavior, and trauma. If your emotions have been feeling bigger and harder to manage than usual, or you're having thoughts of hurting yourself, I want you to know there's a structured, evidence-based path forward. I'll walk it with you at a pace that feels manageable, with real skills you can use between sessions, not just in them.
Hi, I am Misty. I work with college students, children, teens and adults who feel worn down by anxiety, low mood, stress, or health changes and want to feel steady and present again. You might reach out for support with depression, anxiety, ADHD, burnout, or trouble sleeping, yet what you are really longing for is relief, clarity, and a sense that your mind and body are finally on the same team. Many of my clients are caregivers or helping professionals who show up for everyone else and are ready for a space that is just for them, where they can slow down, be heard, and begin to restore balance. In our work together, I offer warm, collaborative care that helps you feel seen while we untangle what is happening beneath the surface. I provide holistic medication management, CBT and DBT-style therapy, help with ADHD and burnout struggles, and support for major depressive disorder. If you feel tired of carrying so much on your own, you are not alone. You deserve a space where you can slow down, be heard, and feel supported. If this resonates, I would be honored to walk alongside you as you take the next step.
It can be scary to admit that something in your life isn't working. Maybe you have found that the feelings of insecurity, hopelessness, or dread just won't go away, no matter how much time and effort you put in. I understand the embarrassment that can come with talking about our perceived pitfalls. Every person experiences their own hardships, and we all need the proper time and space to work through them. I have seen the healing and growth that comes from reflecting on our patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving. I will help you discover how these patterns developed and how we can bring lasting change to your life. Starting therapy can be intimidating. I empathize with you and admire the courage it takes to open up to a stranger. I am proud of you. Please feel free to call me or send me a message.
Are stress, overwhelm and anxiety interfering with school, friends and life in general? Do you want to better understand and work through complicated emotions and unhelpful thought patterns? Maybe you’re ready to build new skills for handling life transitions, stressful situations or past experiences that still feel heavy. You don’t have to figure it out on your own. Together we’ll strengthen what’s working and create a practical, personalized therapeutic plan that helps you move forward.. We begin with a complimentary, no obligation, 15 minute video consultation. This gives me a chance to understand what you’re going through and allows you to decide if we’re a good fit. After the consultation, if you decide to move forward and have Blue Cross/Blue Shield or Anthem, I’ll verify your coverage and any copay so you know what to expect, and then we can schedule your first session. I offer both in-person and virtual appointments.

As a somatic psychotherapist, I provide body-based trauma-informed therapy from humanistic, positive-values approach. I cultivate deep empathy for and with my clients in their present state. Then, by adding in breathing and awareness skills, we aim to make the present moment more tolerable, while cultivating change from within. I am a graduate of Naropa University’s Somatic Counseling Psychology program with an emphasis in Body Psychotherapy. I am trained in EMDR and am currently pursuing Relational Life Therapy RLT training.
My clients are smart, self-aware people who've been managing a lot on their own for a long time — and they're tired. They want to stop overthinking everything, feel more solid in their relationships, and figure out who they actually are underneath the performance. A lot of them are queer, neurodivergent, or both, and they're done explaining the basics to their therapist. They want someone direct, who notices patterns, and who won't let them stay comfortable when they're ready for something different. I'm a clinical psychologist. I work with attachment, identity, and the ways people get stuck trying to hold it all together. My style is warm but direct — I'll give you real feedback, not just nod and reflect. We use what works, and go at the pace your nervous system can handle. If you want an authentic therapist who's honest with you, helps you build skills that work outside the room, and actually tracks whether things are getting better — reach out. We'll figure out what matters and go from there.
