Challenges are essential to growth. We all face challenges. The various challenges, crises, traumas we all inevitably encounter can create anxiety, depression, and disconnection. Unfortunately, labels and diagnoses can stop you from seeing that you are okay. As you are. Your felt experiences of hurt, when processed deeply, actually lead to self-discovery. Seeking help doesn’t mean that anything is necessarily wrong. In fact, expertise can guide you through these moments safely. Through somatic healing therapy, individuals and couples will find inner strength to start anew. I am a somatic therapist who counsels individuals and couples to honor who they truly are. Together, we explore new ways to cope with conflicts, and the challenges presented in day-to-day life. Bring all of yourself to therapy. You’ll create better relationships with yourself and others as a result. So, get comfortable. Let’s find what brings you joy and helps you feel fulfilled. Break through. Ultimately, this process is about loving and becoming more of yourself.

Hello! My passion is working with people interested in personal growth and I strive to collaborate with my clients in exploring unconscious and procedurally-based patterns that occur in relationship with self and others. I have served as a therapist to young adults and adults in the front range area for 10 years. Before opening my practice, I worked in community mental health and at CU Boulder's Counseling and Psychiatric Services Center. I work primarily from a contemporary psychodynamic lens and utilize a wide range of techniques including Internal Family Systems, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, narrative therapy, interpersonal/relational therapy, Self psychology, and Motivational Interviewing. I am also trained in MDMA-Assisted Psychotherapy through MAPS and am a published qualitative researcher on the MDMA-AT FDA trials. I am a cisgender woman currently residing on the stolen homelands of the Arapaho and Cheyenne, colonially known as Colorado. I identify as haafu and Japanese-American and I unjustly benefit from my East Asian heritage and proximity to whiteness, as someone who is able-bodied, and with financial and educational access. My sun and moon are in Cancer. I am passionate about matters of identity, race, culture, and social justice.

Hello! I've spent my entire career (30+ years) working with undergraduate and graduate university students, both in the United States and abroad. I've worked in several University Counseling Centers and also serve as an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Department of Applied Psychology at NYU. Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to work with a wide range of individuals, including those from diverse backgrounds, who are grappling with many different issues: transition to college, relationship struggles, family issues, substance abuse, anxiety, depression, identity, sexual orientation, grief/loss, and existential challenges. I've worked with student-athletes, international students, people of color, LGBTQIA individuals, study-abroad students, members of Greek Life, and graduate/doctoral students. I am a down-to-earth, insightful, non-judgmental, REAL, sometimes funny, and consistently compassionate therapist. I love working with college students! I've been told by many clients that I'm easy to talk to. I will listen, support you, provide honest feedback, and help you to navigate your challenges effectively so you can be your best self as you pursue your educational and life goals. I am based in Boulder, Colorado can meet with you virtually or in-person at my office on Broadway. I look forward to hearing from you!

I work with the body and the nervous system to integrate difficult experiences and regulate ourselves from the bottom up. I love to work with the inner critic (aka self-criticism), the inner child (aka reactivity), and trauma (big and small). I am passionate about helping people get to know themselves, not just find a quick fix for symptoms.

My clients are smart, self-aware people who've been managing a lot on their own for a long time — and they're tired. They want to stop overthinking everything, feel more solid in their relationships, and figure out who they actually are underneath the performance. A lot of them are queer, neurodivergent, or both, and they're done explaining the basics to their therapist. They want someone direct, who notices patterns, and who won't let them stay comfortable when they're ready for something different. I'm a clinical psychologist. I work with attachment, identity, and the ways people get stuck trying to hold it all together. My style is warm but direct — I'll give you real feedback, not just nod and reflect. We use what works, and go at the pace your nervous system can handle. If you want an authentic therapist who's honest with you, helps you build skills that work outside the room, and actually tracks whether things are getting better — reach out. We'll figure out what matters and go from there.

My work is motivated by my passion for human connection. At Thrive, I offer therapy for both couples and individuals, supporting clients’ inquiry into how they experience their own BELONGING and how they can access more joy and meaning in their relationship with themselves, the ones they love, and the world around them. I earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Naropa University, with a concentration in Mindfulness-Based Transpersonal Psychology. My approach to therapy incorporates my training in Gestalt Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for Couples, Internal Family Systems (IFS), as well as her decade of experience in teaching yoga and working outside. I also enjoy incorporating the Enneagram into my work with clients, which can serve as a powerful tool for spiritual and relational development. Though I am not a native speaker, Sydney is bilingual in both English and Spanish and welcomes working with native Spanish speakers who might be yearning for a space to speak both in their therapeutic work. I also have both personal and professional experience working with the impacts of a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and feels passionate about supporting clients who are navigating those challenges.

As a practicing psychologist for over 30 years (and a short time before that as an attorney), I understand the importance of having someone to speak with about our worries, questions, changes and even our daily lives. I see adults and adolescents who seek support in navigating stressful situations and not only reaching resolution on that issue, but also learning about themselves in deeper ways. I listen closely and with an open mind. I'm supportive and encouraging and help you make connections to patterns that can rework things you would like to change and do differently. Whether we are working on immediate problem resolution or exploring family/social dynamics, it's important that you feel understood, heard and supported in session. It's also important that you have direct, clear feedback that is experienced as helpful and insightful. Not every session is likely to be groundbreaking, but together, we can work toward defining and reaching your therapeutic goals.

Although college can be a time of excitement and exploration, it can also feel extreme and bring up feelings that can be challenging to sort out on our own. Having the right support can make all the difference. At In Bloom Psychotherapy we are here to support you on this journey exactly as you are, helping you find the tools and resources to provide some relief and a better understanding of yourself. Among other issues, we specialize in working with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, grief, relational issues, depression, college athletes, and outdoor enthusiasts. We incorporate body awareness and mindfulness into sessions because talk therapy alone may not be enough to shift old patterns and create new neural pathways in the brain. Some of our clinicians are trained in EMDR therapy and utilize approaches such as parts work, IFS, DBT, CBT, mindfulness and attachment theory. We know finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming and daunting. If something in this bio resonates with you, please reach out for a free twenty-minute phone consultation.

I was raised in a commune-style farm setting in rural Pennsylvania, and earned my BA from Middlebury College and then my MA in counseling psychology from Lesley College. I am currently pursuing her certificate in Modern Psychoanalysis at the Academy for Clinical and Applied Psychoanalysis in Livingston, NJ. I am a mother of three and a longtime practitioner of yoga, meditation, and Jin Shin Jyutsu (Japanese acupressure). These practices inform my interest in the well-being of the whole person. I provide a safe and comfortable space where you can explore the parts of your life that you value and also the parts you may want to change. My approach is to cultivate a sense of curiosity and kindness while supporting you in saying whatever is on your mind. As we put our thoughts and feelings into words, we tend to grow more comfortable in ourselves, even in the midst of discomfort. We may find ourselves in more positive relationships at home, at school, and at work. We may find more clarity about how we want to live our lives. Whether in person or online, I see the therapeutic process as a catalyst for reflection, exploration, self-understanding, and personal growth. Together, we will work to understand the richness of who you are and resolve whatever is getting in the way of achieving your personal and professional goals.

As a Stanford trained psychologist, I combine insight-oriented with skill-based therapy approaches to help young adults and adults with anxiety, depression, and obsessive-compulsive symptoms find their way back to a fulfilling life. Do you feel sad and down for no apparent reason? Do you feel all alone and as though nobody understands you or sees your pain? Do you tend to overthink things? Do uncertainties of life scare you or do you feel like you need to control your environment to feel safe. You are not alone. Through my ability to read between the lines, I can see you and help you better understand yourself. We will work through subconscious challenges that interfere with your joy in life, growth, and path to healing. I also specialize in working with individuals and their family who struggle with the diagnosis of cancer or other medical conditions. I will help you find ways to cope with fear, loss and uncertainty related to your condition and make sense of your situation productively. Let's work together to help you thrive with your disease. PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT: In addition to therapy, I provide a variety of psychological assessment services, including mental health evaluations for adults in legal proceedings (civil and criminal); psychodiagnostic evaluations to inform treatment and clarify diagnostics; and neurocognitive assessments. Sometimes words don't cut it. Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or seeking a safe space to explore your inner world? Art therapy uses tools that take traditional talk therapy to the next level by giving you an embodied experience. The heart of my practice is believing people are their own experts. You are the ONLY you with your exact values, experiences, routines, heartaches, and desires. I want you to feel seen, foster a deeper understanding of your journey, and find answers and solace through your own innate intuition. If you're new to art therapy you may not be aware of how creativity can open new doors of understanding and connection. Sometimes we get stuck on a judgmental message from 1st grade that we aren’t “good” at artmaking. Well, I say forget that! You ARE inherently creative and it’s okay to heal using both the logical AND intuitive sides of your brain. You get to lead at your comfort level and I will authentically support you using tools and techniques (whether open-ended or more structured) to guide you. If you are seeking space to work through an issue you're having, improve self-esteem, cope with anxiety or depression, manage stress, deal with relationship or parenting issues, process trauma, or just vent, consider reaching out to me.

In these difficult times, managing life's demands is often challenging. Anxiety, depression, and frustration may feel overwhelming and impossible to overcome. Seemingly obvious solutions often make it worse. For example, worrying about being anxious or avoiding anxiety arousing situations only increase the problem. However, there are effective coping strategies that help. I offer practical alternatives in a warm and supportive environment.
