About me I was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma with my 3 siblings by a single mom and my great x2 uncle who was a former teacher and retired military. They made sure we understood the importance of education, resiliency, discipline and determination. My upbringing and community taught me the importance of needing to have people around who care and nurture different aspects of people. My Approach I look at people as being multifaceted and are influenced by many in their journey. I'm a firm believer that you can decide to change who you are and become who you want to be whenever you decide to. Being willing and open to challenge your own thoughts and behaviors no matter who you are or your age. My approach is transformative through inner work and behavior change.

Working with me, you can expect a therapist that provides empathy and understanding of your experience and perspective while using structured interventions to help you feel better. I follow a model of therapy called TEAM-CBT pioneered by David Burns, MD. My approach to therapy includes self-help assignments for you to practice between sessions to help you resolve the problems you face now and leave you with tools you can use to address future challenges. I also incorporate elements of mindfulness practice, motivational interviewing and positive psychology in my work with clients. I work with adults (18+) and assist with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, work-related stress, substance use and more.

My practice is dedicated to creating a safe, compassionate space where clients can process their experiences, build resilience, and develop the tools necessary for healing. I specialize in trauma-informed care, helping individuals understand and manage the impact of trauma on their lives, relationships, and overall well-being. With a deep commitment to fostering emotional and psychological growth, I draw on evidence-based therapies and a client-centered approach to empower clients in reclaiming their stories. My goal is to guide individuals in transforming pain into strength, creating paths forward that are rooted in safety, trust, and self-empowerment. I believe that healing is not just about addressing the past—it’s about empowering clients to thrive in the present and build a future they truly deserve. I am passionate about providing culturally sensitive care that considers the intersectionality of race, gender, and socio-economic factors in each person’s experience of trauma. If you or a loved one are navigating difficult times, I would be honored to get to know you and explore how I can support your healing journey. Hello! I’m Emily, A Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado. My goal is to work to help others build healthy relationships in their personal and professional lives. Think of me as your self awareness gurue, family role interpreter and boundary builder. I work with Individuals as well as couples using the Gottman method. My goal is to help you discover yourself in new ways and bring awareness to themes in your life and how they relate to your family of origin. I have spent the last 10 years working on my craft to care for others and help break unhealthy cycles. I draw from CBT and TF-CBT strategies, DBT strategies, family systems, Gottman and relational psychodynamics to help others with anxiety, depression, processing loss and trauma, as well as, family conflict and relationship issues. I use DBT and client centered therapy techniques to help pay attention to your emotional experience, identify the role you play or played in your family that is still being played out in other relationships today. I help you find self acceptance in your own personality and build awareness of how that is impacted by others. Are you the middle man, the scapegoat, a leader, the avoider or the drama queen? No matter your role, you are enough! Let’s dive into how your role in your family unit contributes to unhealthy cycles that have happened in the past or happening now. I use reenactments in sessions, CBT and family systems strategies to bring awareness to how your role in their family may be contributing to unhealthy cycles. What is your “no” and what is your “yes”. Sometimes we don’t know what that is, but I’m here to help you figure it out. Together we can identify the boundaries that need to be created for a more healthy lifestyle and grieve the boundaries that did not exist in the past and learn how to have “repair moments”. I’m here to build up your self care and create coping skills that serve well in establishing healthy relationships.

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

I'm a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with experience providing comprehensive psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and care for adolescents and adults. My work centers on mood disorders, anxiety, trauma-related concerns, and ADHD — helping people navigate a wide range of mental health challenges so they can regain balance, improve daily functioning, and reconnect to what matters most. Whatever brings you here, I believe in taking a compassionate, holistic, and evidence-based approach that meets you where you are. Whether it’s your first time seeking psychiatric care or a continuation of a longer journey, I look forward to supporting you toward greater mental wellness and healing. Forming genuine human connections is something I'm passionate about, as I believe doing so is an integral part of how healing happens. In our work together, you can expect a supportive and collaborative environment where your concerns are genuinely valued. I use shared decision-making and supportive therapeutic techniques to help you better understand your symptoms and achieve your goals. Every treatment or medication management plan I build is individualized, tailored to your unique needs, experiences, and priorities. My path to becoming a psychiatric clinician was shaped by both personal and professional experiences. Growing up, I witnessed firsthand the impact mental health challenges can have on individuals and families, while being raised by my grandmother taught me compassion and resilience — values that continue to guide the way I show up for my patients. Beginning my nursing career during the COVID-19 pandemic deepened that foundation. Offering supportive care during life's most challenging moments showed me how much it matters to have someone in your corner. Those experiences strengthened my commitment to creating a safe space where patients feel heard and empowered in their journey. Outside of work, I enjoy playing beach volleyball, hiking with my boyfriend and dog, listening to live music, and exploring new places.

I enjoy the experience of witnessing my clients release traumatic events from their core. I know and understand, as I have been there myself, what it feels like to feel weighted down by events/emotions that are no longer in existence. I help my clients release these combinations of events and emotions that no longer serve them.
