Therapists for college students near University of Colorado Boulder
Hello, I'm Mercy, a mother and a wife. Life is a continuous journey that has no end until we take our last breath! While we partake in this journey, it is well known that it can be challenging. However, one has the power to ease the pain associated with this journey through understanding when help is needed, seeking the help, and being open to accepting the support. I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Colorado in 2006 and my master’s degree in counseling in Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy from the University of Phoenix, Colorado Springs campus in 2012. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Colorado and Arizona. Over the course of my clinical career, I have worked and trained in residential treatment and community mental health centers including department of corrections and private practice. I consider myself a lifelong learner and crave learning new information. Due to my intensive training in Marriage and Family Therapy in graduate school, I have made this area my primary passion and focus. I have participated in extensive postgraduate training in addictions. However, I also greatly enjoy providing individual and group counseling for children and adults who are looking for support with more mild life stressors such as depression, anxiety, parenting education, health and wellness, and behavioral struggles. I specialize in family relationships, multicultural/diversity issues, grief/bereavement, depression, anxiety, anger management, and spirituality. I approach my work with a sense of humor, respect, humility, and honesty. I am honored to join my clients in their individual journeys towards wellness, leading to their brighter future. If you're ready to take the next step on your journey, I would be honored to support you along the way. Let's work together to create a brighter future.
Hey, I'm Briana! I help global women and gender expansive folks break free from burnout, self-doubt, low self-esteem, perfectionism, impostor syndrome, people pleasing, family/societal pressure, cultural stress, and cycles of generational trauma. Through our work, you'll release habits and patterns that sabotage your joy, unlearn oppressive beliefs you've been taught about everything from body image to your role as a woman, and reclaim yourself from capitalism, supremacy culture, and manufactured urgency. You'll tap into your own power and claim your own liberation. As revolutionary woman Assata Shakur reminds us: "we have nothing to lose but our chains." Through our work together, you'll reclaim your power, release fear and self-doubt, redefine your roles, regain confidence in your skills and gifts, reimagine relationships with community, and reconnect with rest, joy, pleasure, and play so you can survive these times. I have a wide range of experience working with individuals. I primarily focus on helping clients understand how experiences in their life have influenced their beliefs, behaviors, emotions and relationships. I think this helps clients understand what action they need to take to feel connected to themselves and others. If I can be helpful in deepening your relationships with others and self please give me a call. I have been a therapist for 15 years. I have worked in the field of addiction for 6 years. I work with individuals processing, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, trauma, and navigating life transitions. Therapy is helpful and daunting. I remember when I first went to therapy I felt uncomfortable, embarrassed, and scared. I also wanted something to be different in my life. Things did change and I felt better. I believe you can have the same experience and I can offer you a compassionate, experienced, presence that will help you find the change you want.

I am a mental health and addiction counselor who has experienced the impact of mental health issues on myself, my family, my friends, and my community. I understand the importance of a safe, nonjudgmental space for exploration, introspection, and healing. I enjoy using creative modalities in conjunction with traditional theoretical frameworks to allow clients to explore challenges and questions from multiple perspectives. I bring experience, compassion, and advocacy to mental health, addiction, and recovery. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults. I use a sense of curiosity and the gifts my spiritual and scholastic mentors have given me to help guide my clients on their journey of discovery. A current curiosity has led me to an increased understanding of the neuroscience behind addiction and how the mind interacts with our bodies and the world around us. I believe everyone has a chance at discovering themselves and finding a fulfilling path in life no matter what your background. If you want to discover your true self, build coping skills to help with sobriety, depression, or anxiety, or if you need help processing trauma, please reach out for a free initial consultation.

Dr. Rademan starts treatment with a thorough and detailed inventory of life experiences that could be contributing to current concerns. She also explores body pain and chronic health concerns as those can be impacted by trauma and emotional wounding. Just like with physical health, mental health can be impacted by earlier 'injuries' that flare up later in life. Many people have been in and out of therapy throughout their life and haven't found sustained relief due to not healing the root issue or concern. At the foundation of treatment, Dr. Rademan utilizes a trauma and cognitive focused framework. Trauma is not only major violence or death, but can also be a loss of a relationship, not getting your needs met when you were a child, or ongoing major stressors. Trauma can be described as anything that significantly changed the way you view yourself or the world.

As a bilingual licensed clinical psychologist with over a decade of experience in medical and community-based settings, I have supported people coping with chronic medical conditions, depression, anxiety, academic and learning concerns, trauma, and neurodivergence. Having lived, traveled, and worked in a diversity of regions throughout my early adulthood and career, I have built strong relationships with people from all walks of life. These experiences have informed my perspective and values as a professional and a human. Are you looking for shorter term support in addressing a particular relationship or stressor? Perhaps you are feeling stuck in anxiety or low energy and need a gentle nudge to “get moving” on something. Or maybe you view therapy as a more gradual, exploratory process. I view you as the expert on your life experiences and needs, and myself as a non-judgmental adviser and holder of hope on your healing journey. I approach each session with curiosity, realness, and humility. My therapeutic interventions are rooted in cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and attachment theories and I value and support the exploration of intersecting identities and the impact of systemic bias, racism, and privilege on mental, interpersonal, and community wellbeing. Regardless of our focus, I am committed to providing a safe and supportive space as we face life's challenges together, and my hope is that you will leave each session feeling both challenged and nurtured.
