Are there aspects of your life that you are unhappy with? Are you feeling anxious, struggling to follow your dreams or having difficulties in your relationships with your partner, children, friends or colleagues? Are you dealing with chronic pain? If so, therapy can be helpful to you! Therapy is a space to discuss your struggles with a neutral person who is not a part of your family or your friend. In therapy, we will work together to understand your struggles. We will focus on building new skills to help you navigate difficult emotions or situations. We will also explore how past issues may be impacting you in the present.
Hi! I’m Mixi, a bilingual licensed therapist. I understand the impact intrusive thoughts, constant worry and repetitive behaviors have on your well-being and daily life. I have had the opportunity to provide care in private practice, school, and medical settings. This array of experiences has fostered my ability to understand clients through a multi-disciplinary lens. My clinical approach to therapy is grounded in ERP, PE, ACT and CBT. Most of the clients that I work with are navigating OCD, anxiety, trauma, stress, and/or depression. I am a trained OCD specialist and a member of the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF). I am dedicated to welcoming adults of all identities. I prioritize learning about my clients to create an inclusive environment that best supports them. My goal is to teach you the skills and tools to make you your own therapist over time. I am licensed to provide Telehealth therapy services to clients in Massachusetts, Washington, Illinois, District of Columbia, and Virginia. Hey there! I'm Aaliyah Nurideen, a licensed clinical social worker in Washington DC, New Jersey and Maryland. As a Black woman, I'm all about creating spaces where we can heal and grow together. Trust me, it's revolutionary stuff! At Ashé Mental Health and Wellness Space, we're not just talking, we're making moves. Our sessions are all about empowering you with the energy and tools to take control of your life and find what works for YOU. We start with a simple question: "What's your intention for yourself in this space?" Then we work together to turn those thoughts and ideas into real, actionable behaviors. It's time to slow down, get present, and show yourself some love and patience. My mission? I'm here to: -Create a judgment-free zone for all your feelings (because life can be messy AF) -Hold your virtual hand when we tackle the tough stuff (about you, others and the world) -Get curious about what's holding you back from living your best life -Clock your strengths and skills (especially when you're struggling to see them) -Help you come up with game plans when life throws you curveballs. All of this is to help you live YOUR version of a peaceful, connected life.

*TELEHEALTH ONLY* My practice is a safe place for all women and their unique beliefs. Are you exhausted? I'm here to help women who are struggling with life's inevitable ups and downs. Are you navigating modern motherhood, and work-life "balance" (is there EVER really complete balance)? Does making friends feel like a chore? Maybe it's ADHD, anxiety, or postpartum? Is perimenopause knocking at the door? Let's figure it out together. I am kind, but direct in my approach. Please understand that I no longer conduct phone consultations. I believe that the best way to truly decide if we are a good fit working together, is to meet and go from there. My approach to working with clients is that the client is always the expert on their own lives. I see clients from a strengths-based perspective, and help my clients recognize and use those strengths fully. I take an integrative approach to meet your needs. I am a psychodynamic therapist, but I make use of polyvagal theory and mindfulness as well. I know it can be overwhelming to reach out for help when you need it the most. It takes bravery to take this next step. Be proud of yourself for being here right now. I typically respond within two business days. Check your spam folder to be sure you didn't miss it. Please note that I ONLY work with WOMEN in my practice and ONLY via telehealth at this time.
Grief can make us feel lost and confused, but we can feel better. People typically think grief and loss are solely about losing a loved one. But we endure ambiguous losses more often than acknowledged. It can occur through experiences such as depression, anxiety, a relationship break-up, pandemics, or other life events. Although the emotions might seem to be everlasting, healing is achievable. I believe everyone needs support from others at some point in their lives. That does not mean they are weak or incompetent. It just means the situation might be harder to manage independently. That makes us all human. For over 20 years, I have worked with diverse populations addressing various mental and behavioral health needs. I want to help you learn strategies to address unhealthy thought patterns so that you can have more control over your overall well-being. I believe therapy is a partnership. Together, we can work towards achieving your desired goals.
I value collaboration, trust, and mutual respect in the therapeutic relationship. Rather than positioning myself as the expert on your life, I help you engage your strengths and inner wisdom in the healing process. I take a holistic approach to wellness, honoring the mind, body, and spirit, while acknowledging the impact of societal and systemic forces on mental health. I create an affirming, intentional, and safe space for you to explore how your identities, values, past experiences, and fears shape your challenges. My practice integrates cognitive-behavioral theory (CBT), mindfulness, and mind-body practices, fostering deeper awareness of your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Rooted in a humanistic approach, I deeply believe in your wholeness and potential and help you reconnect with personal strength and clarity.

Many students I work with seem to be “doing fine” on the outside but feel anxious, overwhelmed, or emotionally drained inside. They may overthink constantly, put intense pressure on themselves to succeed, carry family expectations, or try to move forward while still feeling the weight of painful past experiences. Some feel responsible for everyone else’s needs. Others are tired of always being the strong one. Many feel alone with emotions that seem bigger than they expected. If you notice you shut down when things get intense, struggle to set boundaries, or feel stuck in patterns you don’t fully understand, there’s usually a reason for that. In therapy, we don’t just manage symptoms. We figure out what’s driving them. My goal is for you to feel more grounded, more confident, and more secure in yourself, not just getting through college, but actually feeling better.

Hello, I’m Alison. I help young adults who are overwhelmed, hopeless or anxious feel more in control and able to manage life's stressors and challenges. Some of the issues young adults have come to see me for include: relationship concerns, feelings of being overwhelmed, struggling to adapt to college or missing home, body image issues, life transitions, questions about gender/sexuality, and personal and family trauma. Trauma can include many things, such as relationship abuse, childhood abuse, illness, death, discrimination, and adoption issues. Using talk and somatic (body-oriented) therapy, as well as the expressive arts, I help clients connect to themselves and access resources to help them feel more at peace and in control of their lives. You will find me to be authentic, caring, and a dedicated support on your journey to healing. I bring compassion, mindfulness, and creativity to my work and consider it an honor to work with my clients. As a lifelong traveler who has lived in many places, I enjoy and value working with people from all walks of life. I look forward to meeting you.
