Therapists for college students near 30332
I specialize in helping women overcome anxiety and depression so that they can enjoy life's milestones such as graduating college, first career job, marriage, and having children. When anxious or depressed, these milestones are met with extreme fear or feelings of just "meh". You wonder when things got this way, as you didn't always feel hopeless or have an extreme fear of being judged. Your family and friends have noticed this change as you do not hang out with them as much and seem to have lost your joy. You don't have to feel this way forever. Imagine being relaxed while in public, wanting to hang out with loved ones, and being excited about your future. I work with women in their 20's and 30's that are entering a new phase of their life (i.e. college, career, relationship) and experience anxiety and depression.

“To heal is to touch with love that which we previously touched with fear.” – Buddhist proverb As a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), I provide a holistic, evidence-informed approach to therapy, helping adults navigate OCD, trauma, anxiety, and relationship challenges with greater clarity and self-trust. I have specialized training in trauma and substance use counseling, and I am particularly passionate about supporting individuals managing OCD, including those experiencing intrusive thoughts and compulsive patterns that feel difficult to break. My work is strongly rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), supporting clients inbuilding psychological flexibility, reducing avoidance, and reconnecting with what matters most to them. I am also currently engaged in intensive training in Exposure and Response Prevention(ERP) to further strengthen my work with OCD. I tailor each session to the individual, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic approaches to address both the mental and physiological impacts of stress and trauma. As a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT), I incorporate mind–body awareness into therapy in a clinically grounded way, drawing from breathwork, nervous system regulation, present-moment attention. For clients interested in a more integrative approach, this can support deeper awareness and regulation without requiring prior experience in yoga or meditation. I place a strong emphasis on both insight and application, so our work goes beyond simply processing experiences. While there is always space for you to feel heard and supported, therapy with me is also focused on helping you build practical skills, deepen self-understanding, and create meaningful shifts in your day-to-day life. I approach therapy as a collaborative and supportive process, where you can feel both challenged and understood. Whether you are working through intrusive thoughts, healing from past experiences, navigating complex relationships, or seeking a stronger sense of alignment in your life, we will move at a pace that feels steady and sustainable. My goal is to help you build the skills, insight, and resilience needed to create meaningful, lasting change. Outside of the therapy room, you can usually find me spending time with my dog, Sebastian, deep in my sourdough era, cooking something new, or planning my next trip. I am also a big music lover and really value the small, grounding moments in everyday life.
Students and young adults are often juggling a lot — classes, work, relationships, family pressure, big decisions, and trying to figure out who they are and what they want. You may feel anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, or like everyone besides you somehow has it figured out. Therapy can be a place to sort through what’s going on, understand yourself a little better, and feel more confident in the direction you're headed.

I truly believe in the strength and resilience within every person. My goal is to help you recognize that anxiety is just one part of your story—it doesn’t define who you are. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, struggling to express yourself, or battling self-doubt, I’m here to listen and support you. I understand how emotional pain and anxiety can affect every part of your life, and I’m committed to walking with you through those challenges. Let's work together to foster healing, personal growth, and a sense of balance in your life.
Lately, you might feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve you—whether it’s anxiety, a painful relationship with food and your body, or the weight of living in a body that’s constantly in survival mode. You’ve learned how to keep going, but something still feels heavy or unfinished. You want to feel more at home in yourself—more grounded, more free. In our work together, we’ll slow down, listen to your nervous system, and gently untangle what’s been holding you back. My approach is holistic and person-centered, meaning therapy is always tailored to you- your story, your needs, and your goals. I draw from evidence-based approaches to meet your individual needs with compassion and flexibility. If you’re working through trauma or distressing life experiences, I offer EMDR to support deep, body-based healing. EMDR can be especially helpful when talk therapy alone hasn’t been enough to move through the stuck places. My practice is rooted in Health at Every Size (HAES), promoting body acceptance and self-compassion. If faith is important to you, I also offer Christian counseling to integrate your spiritual beliefs into the healing process. You deserve support that truly meets you where you are. I’d love to walk with you on your path to healing and growth.
