My name is Dakota Fidram, an associate professional counselor providing affirmative therapy in Atlanta, GA. I have worked with a wide range of diverse clients. Many of my previous clients have sought help for depression, anxiety, family/relationship conflict, and more. Here are some of the areas I am passionate about serving: identity exploration, LGBTQ+, chronic disability/ invisible illness, alternative spirituality, existential questions, polyamory/open relationships. I offer in-person sessions Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays 12pm to 6pm. I offer online virtual sessions Monday through Friday 12pm to 6pm. I have worked with a wide range of diverse clients. My prior experiences in both a community clinic setting as well as a university setting has put me in contact with a variety of client issues. Many of my previous clients have sought help for depression, anxiety, family/relationship conflict, substance use, adjusting to difficult life transitions, exploring and redefining personal identities, and sometimes simply learning more about who they are and who they want to be. Here is a snapshot of my specialty areas: Depression Anxiety/Panic Attacks Identity exploration LGBTQ+ Life transitions Chronic Disability/ Invisible Illness Alternative spirituality Existential questions Before studying and graduating with a master of science degree in clinical mental health counseling, I studied and taught French and Francophone language, literature, and culture. Having studied in Quebec, Canada and having taught English in France reinforced my devotion for expanding perspectives and developing insight. I eventually decided to apply my passion for introspection and self-exploration to help those who need a guiding hand through life's trials and travails. Upon returning to the US, I enrolled in the University of North Georgia's counseling program. I interned in a community counseling setting in North Georgia as well as in a college counseling setting at Kennesaw State University. These experiences continued to inspire me to help those in most need of sensitive care, such as the LGBTQ+ community. Insight and introspection can be lifesavers when we feel as though we’ve lost our way. Learning new ways of handling and adapting to all of life’s changes can be revitalizing. We can grow through obtaining new perspective. I would be excited to be there with you on your path as a co-journeyer and as a provider of objective, researched-based counseling.
I commend you for taking courageous steps to nurture yourself through counseling. It is my privilege to come alongside clients with support, insight, encouragement, education, and tools for growth. I excel in rapport building, creating relational safety in the counseling space, acclimating clients who are new to the counseling process, and helping connect clients with resources. My areas of emphasis include grief, life transitions, trauma, anxiety, depression, co-dependency, and couples issues. I gladly offer a complimentary 15-minute consult to discuss your counseling concerns. My office is near Northlake Mall, where Decatur, Atlanta, and Tucker meet.

Do you often wonder if you'll ever find peace and confidence in who you are? You don't have to face these challenges alone. Together, we can uncover and amplify your strengths, helping you build a life that is not only manageable but deeply meaningful. I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ young adults and couples, particularly people of color, who are navigating the complexities of life and relationships
I specialize in working with girls, women, and gender-expansive individuals navigating eating disorders, anxiety, depression, OCD, and trauma. Many of my clients are highly self-aware and emotionally sensitive, yet feel overwhelmed by the weight of expectations, inner criticism, or the pressure to keep functioning while struggling beneath the surface. If you're a young adult or adult, you may be in a season of transition, burnout, or disconnection. You might be questioning your worth, your direction, or your relationship with your body and mind. Therapy can be a space to slow down, make sense of what’s happening internally, and begin to move forward with clarity and self-compassion. My approach is trauma-informed and rooted in compassion, curiosity, and connection. My style of therapy meets you where you are, honoring your lived experience while gently guiding you toward deeper healing.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and understood. I specialize in working with eating disorders of all kinds—from anorexia to ARFID and everything in between. Alongside this, I also support individuals navigating anxiety, perfectionism, and OCD. Together, we’ll work to gently untangle these challenges with curiosity, compassion, and care. I draw from evidence-based approaches, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), in which I hold a Level 2 certification through Behavioral Tech. These tools can help with emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and building a more balanced, meaningful life. At the heart of my work is the belief that healing is possible. You don’t have to go through it alone. Whether you’re seeking relief from anxiety, freedom from rigid patterns, or a healthier relationship with food and yourself, I’d be honored to walk alongside you in this process.
I understand how challenging and overwhelming college life can be. Between juggling classes, navigating relationships, and planning for the future, it’s easy to feel stressed, stuck, or uncertain. I’m here to help you tackle these challenges head-on. If you’re feeling anxious about academic pressures, overwhelmed by life transitions, or struggling with self-doubt, you’re not alone. Maybe you’re dealing with feelings of isolation, unresolved difficulties from the past, or relationship conflicts. Whatever it is, I’m here to support you. My approach is all about helping you feel understood and empowered. I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you focus on what truly matters to you and build the tools to move toward your goals. I also offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which can help you move beyond past difficulties—whether they are related to trauma or other challenges—that may be contributing to present issues. Together, we’ll work through what’s holding you back and create a personalized plan to help you thrive. College is a time of growth, and it’s also a time to learn how to balance life’s demands while taking care of yourself. I can help you manage stress, improve your relationships, and build a mindset that helps you face challenges with confidence. You don’t have to go through this alone—I’m here to walk with you every step of the way.

Our bodies simply respond to experiences, and investigating these experiences through a compassionate lens is my goal with you in therapy. I strive to provide a safe and accepting environment in which all persons can explore their specific concerns in a confidential setting. My practice philosophy emphasizes non-judgemental methods that include IFS, TF-CBT, DBT, and relational approaches. I specialize in trauma recovery, religious trauma, gender identity exploration, purity culture, and asexuality. I also have experience with eating disorders, suicidal ideation, and autism. My clientele focus is primarily with adolescents and young adults of all genders. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and enthusiastically celebrate your personal path to discovering who your most authentic self truly is!

I am a Millennial therapist providing virtual sessions who loves to help people achieve a more balanced life. Together, we will explore concerns you may have such as low self-confidence, unhealthy boundaries, stress and anxiety, difficulty completing tasks, career exploration, work/life balance, depression, relationship issues, or even if you just need a listening ear. I aim to create a comforting space that allows you to dive deep to the root causes of your concerns. I currently work with Renewed Journey Counseling Services LLC and am under the supervision of Msichana McDole. I have enjoyed utilizing a person-centered approach to counseling which views the client as the expert on themselves. I have helped clients gain new confidence in themselves, engage in self-care, learn new strategies through CBT, create and maintain healthy boundaries, and overall find balance in their lives. As someone who continues to work on strategies to combat anxiety, I know how important it is to find a therapist who gets you. My clients have enjoyed my direct but comforting approach to sessions. I have years of experience working with students at the high school, undergraduate, and graduate levels in different settings. I thoroughly enjoy working with children, adolescents, and young adults. As a licensed psychologist having worked at different settings and with different age groups, I appreciate the nuance that each person brings to the therapy or assessment room. I work collaboratively with clients to figure out the solutions that will best meet each individual’s specific needs. For some, that can mean implementing certain strategies and solutions, while others might require a closer look at one’s identity and close relationships to determine a good path forward. I do my best to ensure that you feel valued, understood, and respected. I specialize in therapy of children, adolescents, and young adults. I have special interests in areas of treatment involving anxiety, depression, attention and learning difficulties, self-esteem and self-exploration, men’s issues, and online gaming and technology addictions. I incorporate tenets of CBT and psychodynamic therapy in my work. I highly value the rapport and connections I build with my clients, as they play the biggest role in determining the outcomes of treatment. If you're interested in starting therapy or assessment services, please don't hesitate to contact me. I hope to have the opportunity to work with you.
