Do you find yourself unable to shut your mind off? Replaying past events or chronically worrying? Is your inner critic keeping you from finding confidence in yourself and security with your place in the world? Have you experienced emotional pain and confusion that keeps your past in the present? Are you struggling to build self-esteem or find self-worth? Has the stress from daily responsibilities compounded existing problems with depression, anxiety, or loss? It is possible to move through emotional pain and self-doubt. Together, we can build insight into thoughts, patterns, and behaviors that may be holding you back; explore your strengths and values; and determine how to make healthy change a part of your life. Learning styles vary, so I use elements from different therapeutic approaches. We can work together to discover the strengths you may not have known you have to achieve more satisfaction and balance in the most important areas of your life.
I see individuals working through transitional issues (university, relational, stage of life), common mental health issues (anxiety, depression, ADHD), and trauma (adverse childhood events, sexual/psychological/physical abuse, etc). Individuals I work with often are seeking therapy to feel more like themselves, relieve symptoms of mental health, and enjoy their day-to-day lives more. I find we are often a good fit when looking at therapy as an opportunity to connect, process, & grow. As a therapist rooted in a client-centered approach, I am committed to providing you with empathy, compassion, and a peaceful, supportive environment where you can safely explore your past traumas, and manage stress, anxiety, depression, and more. Together, we will work collaboratively to uncover and address underlying trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and build self-awareness. I have experience working with individuals facing a variety of mental health and substance use disorders. In our sessions, I draw upon evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, while also being able to integrate faith into our work if it aligns with your values. Healing and growth are not destinations but ongoing processes of discovery, transformation, and becoming. My role as your therapist is to walk alongside you on this lifelong journey, fostering holistic change and resilience every step of the way.
My approach to therapy comes from a space of empathy, compassion, and absolutely zero judgement. My goal for every individual is to help them experience a positive change. I utilize a strengths based approach to encourage my clients to tap into their own strengths and resources while also meeting them where they are at in their personal therapeutic journey. I became interested in therapy due to my own personal struggles with addiction and with 11 years of sobriety, I hope to help others. My goal is for my clients to get something out of the work we do together and for it to be worthwhile and beneficial for them. I work alongside my clients to help them reach their goals while appreciating and celebrating their strengths. I have a laid back approach which includes colorful language, an odd sense of humor, and finding a balance to push you outside of your comfort zone to accomplish your goals. I hope to create a safe space for my clients to be themselves and for me to help them process life's tough challenges and celebrate the victories.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who seeks to provide a safe and protected space that allows individuals to engage on a journey of emotional, psychological and spiritual exploration. I use a combination of mind-body approaches including mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). hypnotherapy, dream work, shamanic healing practices and energy work to help people identify and alter beliefs, thoughts, feelings, behaviors, judgments, and painful memories that stand in the way of living one's life. This work allows wounds to heal, helps a person break free from the destructive and unhealthy patterns and moves the person toward a greater sense of emotional and spiritual well-being. I use this bio-psycho-spiritual approach to address the body, mind, and spiritual aspects of a problem and to provide a way for individuals to discover and heal the root causes or those sensitizing events that are often contributing to or fueling the current problems. This encourages the potential for a more whole and integrated person to emerge.
