Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or hopeless? Emotions running wild? Past traumas haunting your present? As a trained therapist, I specialize in addressing underlying issues swiftly. With warmth and empathy, I'll create a safe space for you to overcome these struggles and transition from simply surviving to thriving. As a therapist, I act as an emotional support, teacher, and guide on the client’s journey so they gain the skills, insight, and confidence they need. I firmly believe that everyone has the capacity to grow and heal from whatever they have experienced in life. I am trained in EMDR which is a powerful therapy technique that can facilitate the reprocessing of traumatic or negative experiences. It reduces emotional distress and promotes healing, leading to improved emotional well-being and a greater sense of empowerment. I am also trained in IFS, which is a transformative therapy approach that helps individuals understand their emotional struggles. It views the mind as a system of different parts, each with its own unique role and purpose. By fostering self-awareness and compassion, IFS allows individuals to develop a harmonious relationship with their internal parts leading to increased self-acceptance, improved emotional regulation, and a greater sense of wholeness and inner peace.
I hold an enduring belief in the innate capacity of individuals to grow, heal, and transform. At times, we all lose sight of our core selves and may need help returning back to our true, unburdened nature. In our sessions, I work to create a safe environment where you will develop insight, strengthen inner resources, and increase self-compassion. My work is deeply relational and grounded in the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model. Through collaboration, we will design a therapy that best suits your needs - bringing warmth, curiosity, and respect into the therapeutic space. My practice centers on helping individuals and couples, with a focus on complex trauma, anxiety, and depression. I also work well with those experiencing challenges with relationships, gender and sexuality, body image, creative blocks and addictions. No matter where you are starting from, our work together will always deepen your connection to yourself. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the largest factor in facilitating change, so I understand the importance of finding the right fit. I look forward to meeting you and exploring how we can work together to help you lead a more satisfying and meaningful life. Email is preferred for initial contact
Hi, I’m Marlena. I’m a multicultural, bilingual (Spanish-speaking) therapist who helps women navigating life transitions, relationships, and the pressure to hold it all together. All narratives are unique and it is an honor to have your stories shared with me. I value humor and patience and work to create a safe and open environment with my clients. Suffering is embedded and essential to the human spirit--it allows us to gain perspective, wisdom, and insight. I like to find the light in dark times and help cultivate and grow that light for when we face our next challenges. I will let you know why I am asking about certain areas of your life and will fully and transparently narrate my process so that we can work collaboratively and openly.

Welcome to Clearview Horizons! We are an OCD/anxiety group specialty practice. There are many ways that anxiety shows up for people. The following are some common examples: perfectionism, social anxiety, body dysmorphia, health anxiety, generalized anxiety, panic attacks, trichotillomania, and hoarding. Exposure and ritual prevention is an integral aspect of our therapy. Exposures help clients change their relationship with OCD/anxiety from a fear-based perspective to a place of positive change and empowerment. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) complement the Exposure work. We offer individual therapy and also have a biweekly Adult OCD Support Group. If you have any questions and/or if you are interested in starting therapy, please contact Kim Leonte, the Director of Clearview Horizons, at: kimberly.glazier.leonte@cvhorizons.com

Many of the students can sometimes feel anxious, overwhelmed, or emotionally exhausted—even when they’re keeping up with classes on the outside. You might notice low motivation, self-doubt, or that small things feel harder than they used to. Some students reach out during times of transition, like starting or leaving college, changing majors, questioning identity, or feeling unsure about what comes next. Others want support processing difficult past or recent experiences that still affect their mood, focus, or sense of stability. I also work with a variety of students. Some managing stress, anxiety, navigating trauma, or are managing physical or ongoing health concerns causing them to feel the emotional weight that comes with it. Balancing school, expectations, and your own well-being can be especially tough when your body isn’t cooperating. In therapy, we’ll focus on both talking things through and building practical tools you can use in daily life. Sessions are collaborative and goal-focused, helping you better understand what’s going on while also finding ways to feel more steady, confident, and supported. You don’t need to have the “right” reason to start therapy—if something feels off or heavy, that’s enough.
When you say, you’re F.I.N.E…. Family and friends have told you so much about things that are happening in life. It feels as if you are still on this continuous cycle of fights and arguments. Nobody understands or even cares to listen, so you just say, “I’m fine.” Of course, you’re feeling Frantic, Insecure, Negative, and Emotional. We are here to assist. We have a wide selection of therapists to address your challenges. Our practice helps people with depression, anxiety, trauma, neurodivergence, LGBTQIA+ issues, relationships, marriage, post-partum or family issues, and an array of other concerns. From day 1, we ensure you get exactly what you need from the therapeutic process. Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all model. Treatment should reflect the uniqueness of the individual. At BME Therapy Associates, our clinicians are highly trained to understand your needs during the session. Depending on the clinician, you will experience therapeutic skills building, developing mental health education, personal insights, and a little humor. Whether you are doing trauma work using EMDR or relational work through the Gottman method, you will experience a sense of pride and comfort that you are with a professional. 2307223415We are not looking for perfection but progress.
