I strive to create a therapeutic space in which people feel safe to be vulnerable and affirmed in their experiences. I am passionate about supporting folks to better manage anxiety, depression, race based stress and trauma, cultural identity issues and major life transitions.
My degree is from Northeastern University where I graduated with a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology and became Licensed in 1996. Most recently, I was the Director of Psychology for Wrentham Developmental Center and an Area Psychologist for the Department of Developmental Services. Previously, I had my own private practice where I facilitated numerous social groups, provided individual and family therapy, and served as a Consultant to Cranston ARC, and Bristol Community College. In joining Needham Psychotherapy Associates, I am returning to my passion for clinical work. My approach would be considered eclectic, involving systems work, motivational interviewing, narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, positive behavioral supports, and psychodynamic or insight-oriented work. In my view, the modality of therapy is often determined by the issues that one presents with as well as the style and comfort level of both the therapist and the client. It is important to me that the process of therapy is collaborative, sometimes humorous, and that clients are empowered to make choices in the course of their treatment. Simultaneously, I think there are times when clients need to be challenged to make further growth and progress. I love stories and the stories of people’s lives. In therapy, my style would involve asking a lot of open-ended questions to learn more about your story and your journey. Therapy should involve clients feeling, safe, challenged, and learning strategies and approaches to handle your problems more effectively. In the end, ideally clients will feel better about themselves and their world. Most definitely, I believe that there are times that clients should laugh in therapy, as humor and laughing are an important part of healing. I love working with young adults and the new ways they have of looking at the world as well as helping them navigate their present challenges and future transitions.
Hello! My focus is on helping those who are experiencing anxiety, perfectionism, trauma, and PTSD because you deserve to experience joy, connection, ease, peace, and love in your life. Together, you can gain more clarity on how to work with difficult emotions, make peace with your past, and start to feel more confident in your ability to tackle current challenges and work towards goals for your future. I primarily use Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy and Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to help reduce negative symptoms and achieve positive shifts, often more deeply and quickly than traditional talk therapy. I hope to be of service to you and look forward to speaking with you!

Hi, I’m Eva, a licensed mental health counselor and owner of Rooted Behavioral Health & Wellness in Massachusetts. I work with adolescents and young adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck or like their thoughts have taken over. I draw from evidence-based therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while also keeping sessions real and engaging—because sometimes a little humor can make hard things feel more manageable. Together, we'll take small steps, challenge old patterns, and move forward in ways that once felt impossible. I believe therapy should feel like a space where you can be real, feel understood, and actually learn tools that make a difference in your everyday life.
I am a licensed clinical social worker and received my MSW from Boston University. I worked in community mental health prior to coming to Rasi Associates. I utilize psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral and family systems models in my work with individuals and couples. I have experience working with individuals struggling with depression and other mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, identity issues, as well as providing support with the general mental health issues of the GLBTQ community.
During my career of being a therapist for over a decade, I have found that the working relationship is pivotal for any change to happen in therapy. I take great care to foster a sense of emotional safety so exploration, processing, and developing new understandings and patterns of interaction with one’s self, others, and the world may take place. I enjoy working with undergraduate and graduate university students, young adults, and working professionals who experience difficulties with general distress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and ADHD. By using elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy, contemporary psychodynamic therapy, and emotional focused therapy I ally with people to aid them in learning more about themselves while dislodging obstacles that may be present in their lives and relationships. I am passionate about helping people who are currently feeling like they are struggling in their lives and working with them to achieve what they envision their life to be through either weekly individual or couple therapy sessions. If you desire to see lasting changes in your work, life, and your relationships, I encourage you to reach out to me, so we can talk more about what you are trying to achieve through therapy.

I am a client-centered psychologist who works with adults and adolescents (13+). I help patients/clients address a range of concerns including but not limited to: depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use struggles, difficulties in relationships, grief/loss, identifying life goals, navigating life transitions, and balancing work-life demands. I received my training at William James College (Newton, MA). Trained with Advocates Community Counseling, Rutgers University College Counseling, and Boston Behavioral Medicine. Whatever your reasons are for therapy, my goal is to help you so you can experience a more enjoyable life. I specialize in working with clients who are experiencing a multitude of challenges, including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, disability/chronic illness, identity exploration, and challenges with self-esteem. This can include family/relationship issues, life transitions (including college/early adulthood), or identity formation. I specialize in working with neurodivergent individuals, especially women with ADHD. Supporting LGBTQ+ mental health from an intersectional lens is another focus. I also have an interest in working with clients who are exploring immigrant experience, family dynamics, and generational trauma. I previously worked in college counseling (at Wellesley College) and residential life (at Harvard College), so I'm well-attuned to the specific experiences and challenges of college student life! As a relational psychodynamic therapist, I believe that our experiences are shaped by our relationships with ourselves, other people, and the world at large. My work is informed by feminist, queer, disability, and critical race theory. I also integrate narrative therapy, which allows us to reimagine the stories we tell about ourselves and our lives. I am deeply attentive to how identity and marginalization can impact one's experiences and movement through the world. In my work, I strive for a trauma-informed, culturally-sensitive, and socially just practice. I meet clients with curiosity, warmth, and nuance to explore their experiences, relationships, and challenges. My goal is to co-create a welcoming and supportive space in which clients can tell/retell their stories, appreciate their strengths, and work towards their goals
**Some schools such as a nationally renowned women's University in the Newton-Wellesley area have encouraged me to become in-network with BCBS PPO, but after checking it out, such students (from similar schools/insurances) pay ONLY $10-20/visit out of pocket MORE than in-network providers!! I fully encourage you to look around to see who else is out there; I believe my greatest strengths = excellent communication, including promptness of responses to concerns, humor, empathy, and a willingness to hear your narrative, attentive yet free of judgment… Check out my reviews at: https://g.page/r/CfP5EFngyBa_EBE Ask your school/insurance or contact my office for additional information regarding reimbursement! ******** Hello, I am Dr. Ronald T Lee, MD, a psychiatrist certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, here to serve your psychiatric needs from the comfort of your home/dormitory, or wherever need be, only limited by technology, not location. As a psychopharmacologist and psychotherapist serving the psychiatric needs of residents throughout all of MA virtually via Telehealth, I would love the opportunity to help you become the best version of yourself by servicing your mental health wellness needs. Problems, conflicts, and stage of life are all quite unique in the college/graduate student experience, unlike any other period of your life. I have been there, myself, at the University of Michigan, Georgetown University, with post graduate training at Harvard University and the University of Connecticut: each of those institutions had their share of academic and personal challenges that, while difficult, would ultimately play a force in shaping me to become the physician and person I am today. Social anxiety and dealing with academic pressures that felt overwhelming, were experiences I can certainly relate to, firsthand. If anything, I wish mental health was not so stigmatized back then, while lamenting, that they still do, not to a degree. At times, especially early in my higher education experience, I did not know or was too embarrassed to ask if there were resources I could turn to. In hindsight, it would have been extremely helpful to have resources that could have helped me understand that those feelings of disorientation and sense of being rudderless in a confusing world, at an especially stressful time, were more typical than I imagined, and manageable with the right resources. It would have been helpful for me to know that I was not alone, with someone guiding me in a nonjudgmental fashion. I would like to be one of those encouraging voices for you, if you will allow me. I suppose what also largely differentiates me from others on this site, would be my ability to prescribe medications, only if needed. I did take an unusual route, changing majors, to eventually attend medical school, in Philadelphia, to obtain my MD, which I am proud of, and allows me to treat students from multiple angles of psychotherapy and/or pharmaco-management (medications)--and I might also have experiences of my own to share for any pre-meds out there really feeling the pressure. Feeling social anxiety, heightened by COVID? I may have been there, in a few different iterations, with some tips, in hindsight. Procrastinating finally catching up to you when it counts? I will plead the fifth amendment to that, ha ha 😁 If this resonates with you, you are seeking treatment as soon as possible, or have tried another provider that has not met your needs, please give my website a look. Consider whether we might be a good mutual fit to help you achieve your best quality of life, during this critical juncture of transition to adulthood. Let's see what we can do together and get started!
