Fit is essential to good therapy. When the fit is right, therapy can become a practice space for navigating the complexity of relationships in everyday life. I value an open and collaborative approach so that together we can understand the challenges you face; those that are both in and outside of your conscious awareness. Whether you are struggling with depression, anxiety, questions of identity, work difficulties, relationship conflict, going through a life change, or dealing with family-related stress, I believe that together we can understand and address that which holds you back. The following clinicians work in my practice and are also listed with Thriving Campus: Joel Stanley, Mental Health Counselor, and Dr. Shirley Poyau. I specialize in the treatment of complex trauma, a condition resulting from early and repeated exposure to neglect and abuse on the part of caregivers. I strive to create a space with clients where safety, in the context of a therapeutic relationship, can be experienced in order to promote recovery. I bring an awareness of the body and its various forms of communication into treatment, while also listening for layered meanings contained in the spoken word. I integrate psychodynamic principles and body-based approaches into my work. Social justice, equity, and cultural issues also significantly guide my clinical approach.

Hablo espanol et je parle francais. It's natural to feel concern about starting therapy and finding the right therapist. It takes courage to look inside and even more courage to reach out for someone to help you make change. One can only find out whether one can have an authentic, caring connection with any given therapist through trying it out and openly discussing the relationship. I will explicitly make space and seek regular feedback from you about our work together to see how the fit and progress feels for you. I completed all of my clinical training at Harvard Medical School through their programs at VA Boston and Cambridge Health Alliance. I can help you notice what you want to change and identify goals for therapy. I have been described as an empathic, nonjudgmental therapist who brings warmth and respect to the therapy room. I use mindfulness to help you notice your sensations, feelings and thoughts, and accept them while setting intentions to make changes to reach goals you value. I see clients mornings, evenings and weekends and specialize in stress for teens, students and professionals including women's issues. I speak French and Spanish fluently. More personally, I enjoy meditating and spending time in nature — rock-climbing, hiking and cycling. I grew up in Europe in a diverse family and bring a multicultural sensitivity to therapy.

Often, a significant source of suffering lies in thoughts and feelings that exist outside of our awareness and have not yet been able to find full expression. Psychotherapy offers the unusual opportunity to be listened to deeply and to learn to listen to ourselves in new ways. Exploring and developing insight into your inner life can lead to change—feeling better about yourself, shifting seemingly intractable patterns that have kept you stuck, and developing a greater sense of agency and fulfillment in your life. My practice provides a safe setting in which this exploration can unfold. I'll work collaboratively with you to help you make sense of distressing feelings and thoughts, gain insight into your experiences, and develop a more authentic relationship to yourself and to the world. I have advanced training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, and my work is influenced by psychoanalytic and trauma-informed approaches. I see adults and specialize in a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, complex trauma, and relationship difficulties. Hi, my name is Jenny Rivillas-O'Neill. I am a firm believer in a multidimensional approach to care in order to achieve sustained wellness. My framework incorporates the understanding that we may all experience periods where life management skills alone are insufficient, and thoughtful medication supplementation can be therapeutic in achieving balance and wellness. Through direct care experience, my knowledge, motivation, and passion for assisting people seeking wellness have grown exponentially. My experience includes PMHNP Residency training in the VA Boston Healthcare System, Inpatient Nursing Director at BIDMC, and currently in the last year of a Doctoral program at Yale concentrating on adverse childhood and community experiences and finding pathways toward healing.

I believe one of the bravest things you can do is begin to understand your own story. What often brings us to therapy are life events that we did not sign up for or want to face. Unanticipated endings, dealing with uncertainties and fear can bring us to crossroads. These intersections present an opportunity for our hearts to grow and for our lives to align with our true north. My primary work has been in medical settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and community health. I believe that when working with individuals, the human connection is the core of what makes therapy meaningful and effective. If you are dealing with old patterns, a new health diagnosis, or experiencing significant loss or relationship issues, my practice might be a good fit. I welcome you to give me a call to discuss further whether I can be a good fit for your needs.

As a licensed clinical psychologist, I am keenly aware of the courage it takes to reach out to a therapist. It is my hope to build a safe, strong, and productive connection with every person I work with. Therapy is about restoring and healing connections with oneself and others. To that end, I serve individuals, groups, couples, and families across the life span with a focus on individual and couples therapy. Working with college students and young professionals has been a consistent part of my work since 2010. I offer a free 30 min phone or zoom call prior to intake to help potential patients decide if I am an appropriate fit. Please do not hesitate to contact me.

I specialize in working with teens, college students, and young adults who are struggling to connect with their authentic selves. My clients often present with relational conflicts, low self-worth, anxiety, or attachment trauma. My approach is relaxed and relational, combining psychodynamic and strengths based methods to go beyond quick fixes to help clients identify root causes that may be limiting their personal growth or contributing to emotional distress. As a therapist, I believe that healing begins in the context of a safe, attuned relationship. I work with clients to build a deep and secure therapeutic connection - one rooted in trust and emotional safety. I have experience working in various mental health settings, including community mental health, hospitals, colleges, and alternative school placements. Above all, I’m human - both in and out of the therapy room. I show up as my full, authentic self, and I invite my clients to do the same. If you are seeking relational and supportive therapy, I would love to connect!

I work with people in crisis or who sense they have patterns of living that could benefit from an experienced partner to help facilitate their desired change. I have received training in motivational interviewing, solutions focused therapy, trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy, descriptive psychology-informed psychotherapy and I specialize in treating depression and other mood disorders, anxiety and panic related issues, ADHD and addictive disorders.
