Hello! I am Yvette LeBlanc Gundry, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I specialize in supporting undergraduates, graduate students, post-grad, and adult clients who are parents or thinking about becoming parents through life transitions, relationship issues, and issues of self esteem and identity. I offer online and walk & talk therapy to folks who are looking for support during times of stress, are interested in finding meaning and connection, and improving their relationships with themselves and others. With compassion and humor, I strive for a collaborative relationship in which I provide a non judgmental space for each client to explore and process experiences. I utilize a relational, client-centered, grief & trauma informed approach tailored to each client’s needs, and often incorporate tools such as mindfulness, expressive approaches, mind-body approaches, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to empower clients. In my work with clients I provide information, encouragement, and support to help pave the way for meaningful change. I assist clients in navigating grief & loss, depression, anxiety, life transitions and direction, academic stress, relationship distress, trauma, perinatal/reproductive mental health, spirituality, and medical stressors & mind-body issues. I can help you develop self-understanding, gain confidence, and learn strategies to manage distress. I welcome individuals of all identities as clients, and where our identities or experiences differ, I hope to be an ally for you in your life.

At times, life events can seem to control the way we feel, creating feelings of helplessness and hopelessness. Other times, you may struggle with feeling unmotivated or purposeless without any specific cause. I believe psychotherapy empowers people by understanding specific struggles while actively developing skills to create change. A key part of our work will be identifying the things that matter to you and finding ways that therapy can bring you closer to a life that is more connected with your values. I have expertise in trauma and stress, substance use, grief, and motivational issues. I have extensive experience working with people from diverse backgrounds as well as treating military service members, veterans, and their loved ones. I thoroughly enjoy the collaborative process of determining what interventions will best fit your needs and look forward to understanding your treatment goals.

Please note that I offer a concierge billing service for my clients who request reimbursement from their insurance plan with Out of Network Benefits. Sometimes, when people come to therapy, they’re looking for a solution to something that feels urgent or overwhelming. At other times, people can't put words to what's wrong, but they know that something that doesn't feel right. Whether you're looking for help with anxiety, life transitions, relationship issues, or something else, my goal is to put our heads together to create a space where you feel truly heard and supported in order to find a way forward. I'm trained in English and Spanish in a variety of therapeutic modalities that range from meaning-oriented work and narrative therapy to behavioral techniques, but what's most important to me is that we come together and use pieces of any of those that will be helpful to the person that I'm sitting with. I have a few openings (in-person or virtually). Contact me for a 25-minute free consultation to see if my style would be helpful for you - or to possibly refer you to a colleague. Looking forward to being of service to you!

I have extensive experience with queer/LGBTQ+ individuals across the lifespan and including issues such as coming out, sexuality, LGBTQ+ family life, life transitions, HIV, and experience of gender roles and presentation. I strive to create a safe environment and my therapeutic style is informed by queer and anti-racist justice work.
WIth over 25 years of experience as a Clinical Social Worker, I have enjoyed working with young adults as they navigate many of life’s transitions. Listening to the stories of many students as they begin college or new chapters, I am aware of the “noise” that often contributes to self doubt and confusion. I specialize in navigating these challenges that often come with life transitions: the excitement as well as the uncertainty, anxiety, sadness and fears. I love to partner with college students to help reframe some of the thinking that leads to feeling stuck and feeling anxious. I support clients to trust and grow their inner resources and resilience while navigating the challenges as they face and transition to new life phases. Through a blend of empathy, active listening and evidence based techniques, I work to create a supportive space where clients can feel heard and they can safely explore their identities and feelings, manage stressors and develop coping strategies to thrive in a world that often feels unsettled.
