All of you is welcome here. At the root of my therapeutic approach is the belief that every person is worthy of compassion, support, and the experience of feeling seen. I view my role as a therapist being a mirror, a flashlight, and a map—with the destination ultimately decided by the client. I see the treatment-planning process as a unique art form. The subject of the art—the treatment goals—is determined by the client, while I offer the materials: the therapeutic modalities and tools. I draw from a variety of theories and approaches, ranging from psychotherapy and somatic therapy to parts work, CBT, and DBT, to name just a few. All of my work is approached through a cultural and trauma-informed lens, beginning with our initial call. Another essential ingredient in all of my individual and group sessions is psychoeducation. I am an active therapist, which to me means I will not only reflect what I hear you sharing but also connect it to other things you've shared; ask questions to deepen our exploration; connect your experiences to relevant theories and concepts; and, if you’d like, share skills, practices, and tools. Some of my areas of clinical strength, which may be less commonly represented in the field, include Complex PTSD (CPTSD), bipolar disorder, and ethical non-monogamy (ENM).

There are a lot of really good reasons to start therapy. For some this may be be uncovering the authentic self, finding a felt sense of safety, and the confidence to build meaningful and lasting relationships. In my fifteen years of practice I have developed an approach that is intuitive and individualized, blending emotional insight, mind body awareness, and an understanding of your lived experience. I work holistically, identifying the emotional, physical, and situational pieces that shape your inner world. I work with individuals wanting to discover ways to move more authentically and confidently through this moment in their life. Whether that is adjusting to a major life changes, break ups, or dealing with emotional challenges. I provide additional specialized care for those recovering from religious trauma, purity culture, and spiritual abuse. I understand that getting into therapy can be a challenge in its own right. I am happy to walk you through logistical concerns and insurance verifications. All sessions are done through telehealth. You can book a consultation directly through amybook.clientsecure.me or reach out through email

I work with clients that are ready to address issues in relationships by addressing the thoughts and behaviors that play a role. Initial sessions look at patterns that impact communication, intimacy, and connection with self and others. We strive to lead with more of who you actually are and less of who you think you "should" be. I work with people who are ready to go deep — not just to feel better, but to understand themselves in a more integrated and compassionate way. Many of my clients are independent, driven, and thoughtful — and they’re longing for a space where they can be vulnerable without performing, fixing, or figuring it all out right away. This work isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about becoming more you. Together, we’ll explore the patterns that shaped you, the parts of you that have been trying to protect you, and the deeper truths that are ready to be heard. I hold space for both your personal healing and the ways larger systems affect your I know that finding a therapist that is the "right fit" is most important and would be honored to begin exploring this possibility with you. I am dedicated to offering affirming care and am continually working to provide an LGBTQ+ informed space.

Great to meet you! In my work as a therapist, I have had the privilege of working with adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating a wide range of mental health challenges. My approach is grounded in building therapeutic relationships based in affirming care and empathy. I strive to create a warm, relatable environment that allows people to be grow, laugh, cry (sometimes), and feel safe to peel back their own layers and explore themselves. A bit about my approach to therapy: When providing therapy services, I always take a relational approach with the folks I am serving. I think it is important that people feel comfortable, heard, and like they are talking to another person as opposed to a robot. What you can expect from our first session: During our first session, we will talk about what has brought you to therapy, what previous mental health treatment you have had if any, and what you hope therapy can do for you.

My style is direct, interactive, supportive and compassionate. I particularly enjoy working with older adolescents and adults who are experiencing difficult and challenging transitions in their lives. I have found that some people seek counseling for short term solutions, while others are seeking a longer, deeper, transformative experience. Some goals I have helped my patients achieve include: overcoming inhibitions about relationships or career, becoming better self-advocates, managing stressful life transitions, exercising more control over choices and actions, and mourning the loss of a loved one/significant relationship. I often use CBT, DBT, and ERP to help clients maximize functioning.

Managing OCD, anxiety, and/or depression on top of the demands of work, school, social responsibilities, family responsibilities, or even leisure time is exhausting. It takes so much time and energy to deal with anxiety and takes you away from the things you care about. You deserve to feel better and do more than just try to get through your day. I strive to create a safe and comfortable environment and work collaboratively with you in an empathic manner using evidence-based treatment, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (or exposure and response prevention for OCD). Finding a therapist who fits what you are looking for can be a challenging experience. I admire your bravery in taking this first step. If you have questions about my practice, background, or approach we can set up a call to discuss if it would be a good fit.

I am an integrative, trauma-focused, queer therapist dedicated to helping people understand themselves better. I particularly enjoy working with clients who want to be in more authentic, connected relationships with partners and family members, want to better understand how trauma has impacted their life and shed patterns that are no longer useful, or want to parent differently than they were parented. My areas of specialized training include interpersonal trauma and PTSD (sexual assault, childhood abuse, domestic violence), attachment and relationships, perinatal mental health, and infant/early childhood mental health. My approach is informed by an anti-oppressive, feminist, and identity-affirming lens. I hold a perspective that our systems and culture impact our sense of self and how we show up in the world. You know yourself best, and I am here to create a nonjudgmental space for you to bring your full self to learn and grow in the ways that are most important to you. I balance processing to better understand a root cause and change patterns with learning new skills. I view therapy as a collaborative partnership, welcoming feedback and showing up with warmth and authenticity, integrating humor and gentle challenging where appropriate. I believe that at the heart of healing is compassionate curiosity, and I bring this approach to my practice. I believe that in therapy, a client should experience a balance of feeling challenged and actively engaged, while also feeling fully accepted and safe. I bring warmth, playfulness, genuineness, courage and openness into our sessions. I am experienced with guiding clients through recovering from traumas, anxiety, depression, addictions of any variety, navigating grief and life transitions, and relational challenges of all kinds. I have over a decade of therapeutic and clinical practice. I am Level 1 trained in IFS therapy, and also use aspects of psychoanalytical and motivational interviewing therapies. I want to hear about prior experiences you have had in therapy, both positive and negative, and what helps you feel that therapy is successful. You truly can become your own inner healer, and I'm here to show you how. No two therapist/client relationships are the same and we will tailor our therapeutic approach to meet your needs, regularly checking in and evolving as we go. I am opening to full-time practice in January 2026 and am beginning to take clients now!
