I currently provide individual and group therapy. My work is rooted in body centered psychotherapy, bridging support networks specifically between clients and families, building skills for greater coping and supporting individuals on their journey towards personal growth. My areas of expertise include: Anxiety and Depression; Substance mis-use; trauma; grief/loss; transition and stage of life changes and Identity formation. Skills I employ to support clients are mindfulness and meditation; resiliency/strengths-based approaches, DBT Skills building, Person Centered Approaches, ACT and Dance/Movement Therapy. I approach my work through a feminist centered lens and support individuals in developing strategies to think critically about their behavior patterns. I will support you in fostering a sense of personal empowerment through our work together. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you.

Life is a journey and it presents us with struggles. Our minds are resilient and plastic, yet when we are blocked we may not appreciate this. I give my clients tools to help themselves adjust and adapt to their individual struggles, such as death of a love one, stress, relational breakups and a spectrum of traumas. I am a guide to help my clients resolve their temporary block.

Caroline is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), a trauma treatment that engages both youth and their caregiver(s) in healing from trauma. She also uses elements of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and executive functioning coaching in her work.

I work with adults, adolescents, couples and families to help folks live full and meaningful lives. If you choose to work with me, I will assume you’re coming with problems in your life or your relationships that you’d like to work on. I will hold steadfast to the idea that people are not problems, problems are problems. And while therapy might not be the exact solution to what ails you, it can help a good bit. And I want to help. I’m in this work because I believe in the power of talk therapy to bring about positive changes to our lives. I’ve spent a good bit of time learning how to listen well, ask thoughtful questions, and empathize with my clients. I work with clients experiencing a wide range of issues like depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, and general stuckness. I’m confident enough to know that I can be a great fit to some folks and humble enough to know that I’ll be a terrible fit to others. And I’m pretty sure this blurb isn’t enough to determine which is which, but a free 15-20 minutes on the phone could get us close to knowing if therapy together is worthwhile. Let’s chat. I trained at the Brookline Center for Community Mental Health and the Boston College School of Social Work. I’ve done advanced training in narrative therapy through the Narrative Therapy Initiative.
Welcome to my independent private practice! Currently accepting new patients for in person therapy in Watertown and nearby areas, including Boston, Cambridge, Newton, Brookline, Wellesley, Lexington, and Belmont, MA, as well as virtual therapy across MA and NY. I work with children, adolescents, and adults, specializing in anxiety and mood disorders, trauma, and attachment and relationship challenges. With deep respect for life’s complexity, I use an integrative, personalized approach to help you understand patterns, grow insight, develop practical tools, deepen connection, and move toward a life of greater clarity, meaning, and emotional well-being.
Often, a significant source of suffering lies in thoughts and feelings that exist outside of our awareness and have not yet been able to find full expression. Psychotherapy offers the unusual opportunity to be listened to deeply and to learn to listen to ourselves in new ways. Exploring and developing insight into your inner life can lead to change—feeling better about yourself, shifting seemingly intractable patterns that have kept you stuck, and developing a greater sense of agency and fulfillment in your life. My practice provides a safe setting in which this exploration can unfold. I'll work collaboratively with you to help you make sense of distressing feelings and thoughts, gain insight into your experiences, and develop a more authentic relationship to yourself and to the world. I have advanced training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, and my work is influenced by psychoanalytic and trauma-informed approaches. I see adults and specialize in a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, complex trauma, and relationship difficulties. Our practice is highly specialized to treat OCD, anxiety and related disorders. We have clinicians that specialize in the cross section of ED and OCD, Chronic Illness and OCD as well as ADHD and OCD. Our approach to therapy is both candid and interactive, yielding successful, longterm relationships with our clients. With an understanding that each client is different, we are passionate about developing personalized action plans and adaptive treatment models tailored to your personality and feedback. We help our clients lean in, challenge their fears, and live a more purposeful life. Using proven techniques in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Mindfulness, as well as more traditional relational approaches, we provide a comforting space for clients to feel heard and see the pathway back to their personal flourishing.
I tend to work best with students who are struggling with relationships, attachment, and life transitions. Many of the people I work with notice patterns in their relationships feeling anxious, overthinking, fearing abandonment, homesick or feeling like they give more than they receive. Others may be going through changes in friendships, family dynamics, dating, or figuring out who they are and what they want. College and young adulthood can bring a lot of change, and sometimes those transitions can bring up deeper emotions or past experiences that affect how we connect with others. In therapy, I focus on creating a space where you can be open and honest without feeling judged. Together we explore relationship patterns, emotional responses, and what might be underneath them. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, build healthier relationships, set boundaries, and feel more confident navigating change.

I strive to create a safe space for vulnerability, curiosity, and self-exploration while also incorporating skill-based work informed by acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectic behavior therapy (DBT).
