When we feel stuck, taking steps forward can feel like a monumental task. We can work together to break down your thoughts and uncertainties, determine the best way forward, and put practical strategies into action, to empower you to create the life you want for yourself. In me, you’ll have a collaborator who will follow your lead and ensure you feel you heard but will be willing to challenge you and continue to motivate you towards achieving your goals. Therapy with me involves weaving together practical skill-building and evidence-based strategies to help you achieve your individualized goals. I work with individuals experiencing difficult life transitions at work, at home, or at school. Hi, I am Reina Baez, a bilingual (English /Spanish) licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and I believe that healing happens in connection—with ourselves, with others, and with the narratives we carry. I am licensed in California, Georgia, and Missouri. My work is rooted in empathy, curiosity, and the belief that change is always possible, even when we feel stuck or without hope. It is my job to hold onto hope until you can feel hope for yourself. I work with individuals and couples, specializing in ADHD, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, and the parts of life that feel messy or overwhelming. My goal is to create a space where you can heal and create new, empowering narratives for your future. Therapy is a brave step and lasting change is possible.
I have been described as warm, easy to talk to, funny, and down to earth. Nothing surprises or phases me and I am ready to listen and help. I am a licensed therapist with over 25 years of experience in the field. I am here to listen and help you work through depression, anxiety, past traumas, relationship issues, parenting issues, or other life stressors. I have experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families and have worked as the Clinical Director in a residential treatment program for adolescent males. My training was in traditional psychodynamic psychotherapy but I have an eclectic style and like to approach each person in a style that best suits their needs. Telehealth has made it easier for people to seek help from the comfort of their own home. Contact me and we can have a conversation to see if this would be a good fit for therapy.
Feeling anxious? You are not alone. It can be easy to end up feeling overwhelmed, uncertain and depressed - The pressures of relationships, school or work, family, friends all seem to pile up - and then taking care of yourself ends up on the bottom of the priority list. At Movemental Wellbeing, my approach is to help create a calm space where the anxiety and overwhelm don't have such a profound hold on you. One of the best strategies I know to do this is to find opportunities to go outside with clients, to go for a walk, and to feel connected and understood. Many of my colleagues and clients describe me as having a calm and compassionate presence, and that is the foundation of my work with you. Beyond that, I also believe that therapy doesn't have to be hard all the time. I like to find moments of humor, fun, joy and play and to make sessions experiential and movement-based to support all aspects of you. If the typical version of therapy (sitting and talking) doesn't feel like the best way for you to do this work, let's try something different. I'm committed to making therapy engaging, insightful and thought-provoking (and even fun). If this sounds like a refreshing approach that you might be interested in trying, please schedule a free consult call!

Codi is a psychotherapist with experience working working adolescents and adults seeking support managing life changes. Codi practices from a relational, client centered approach. In addition to a B.A. in Feminist and Gender Studies from Colorado College, Codi holds a Masters of Social Work from Smith College School for Social Work. They come to APP with previous experience in access to higher education, direct service with incarcerated and formerly incarcerated people, and community mental health. Codi sees therapy as an opportunity for people to sit in the nuance of being human. They are eager to explore the space between therapist and client, centering my work in a psychodynamic approach. Their work is informed by a critical lens that helps clients examine systems and institutions of power and the roles those structure play in our suffering and healing. They are interested in creating a practice that can center the acknowledgment and influence of race, and other identities, in relationship. They hope to hold space for clients to explore, create and recreate themselves.

Hi! I'm Kade- a queer, nonbinary therapist that got bored of doing traditional therapy. Now, I work with clients in the outdoors (think: walk and talk therapy, or hanging out by a creek, or making nature art) or offer to bring in art and nature into our office or virtual sessions. I primarily work with LGBTQIA+ clients as well as those figuring out life after leaving or reconsidering religion. Many of my other clients are navigating life changes that feel chaotic or are just trying to give therapy "another shot". My ultimate goal for my clients is for them to get the support they're needing. So, I'll invite you to check in about what's working or not, and will work to co-create an approach to therapy based on your own needs. Therapy should never be a "one size fits all" kind of thing.

Are you struggling to find ways to begin living a happier, secure, and fulfilled life or maybe a better handle on the current situation that keeps standing in the way of your goals? Let me help you through this process of seeking and promoting that self-love and examine your behaviors and how the behaviors of others impact you. You are in control! You have the strength, and you will have the answer! Life's too short to be unhappy, unsure, or unfulfilled. As a therapist, I believe in providing a space where you will feel secure and safe to share those thoughts that continue spinning in your head throughout the day. The way you form relationships with others, or your partner is a reflection of the healed or unhealed wounds you are carrying from your childhood experience. Our childhood wounds and conditions influence us more than we think. Healing these wounds helps us improve our self-worth, our standards, and our boundaries within ourselves and others. Sometimes you need someone who will listen, challenge and understand what you are going through. Let's work on building that self-confidence, self-love, and determination that will propel you to be a better version of yourself.
