The modality I most align with is mindfulness based CBT which focuses on identifying and challenging negative thinking patterns that lead to depression and anxiety. What makes my practice unique is my ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and to support them in their personal growth. I'm attuned to the themes and blocks that often go unspoken, and I'm passionate about this work because I believe healing and self discovery are powerful tools for creating a better, more compassionate world.

I have experience working with trauma, depression, anxiety, substance use, life transition challenges, self-esteem, relationship issues including intimate partner violence, and immigration matter. I have worked in a range of different settings including both inpatient and outpatient hospital settings, community mental health, and a college counseling center. After 20 years of working and learning, I utilize a wide range of approaches -- the classic Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to reframe unhelpful thoughts, somatic practices like yoga, Emotional Freedom Technique, and mindfulness and breath work to help settle the body, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to get to know with caring and curiosity what is behind the triggers and automatic responses.
