Hi, I'm Abby! After working as a therapist at a group practice for a couple of years, I became passionate about building my own practice where I get to work solely with young adults navigating the challenges of coming-of-age. I am committed to staying up-to-date on the latest research and techniques in the field of mental health so that I can provide you with the best possible care. A little about me: I attended Saint Joseph's University for undergraduate school and Villanova University for graduate school. I have been living in Philadelphia for over 10 years, and I have over 4 years of experience working with teenagers, college students, and young adults struggling with anxiety, depression, relationships, school stressors, self-esteem, life transitions and more. Whether you're navigating life transitions or managing overwhelming emotions, I am here to empower you with practical tools and insights to thrive in every aspect of your life journey. My goal is to work with you to create meaningful experiences that increase optimism, hope, and motivation along with a sense of control, worth, empowerment, purpose, connectedness, and well-being.
Therapy is an opportunity to alleviate emotional pain and also a safe space to reflect and grow. When seeking therapy, many people might be unsure of what they want and afraid of the uncertainty. My hope is to help you walk through a healthy perspective to replenish a meaningful and rewarding life where you could see yourself more completely and inspire yourself to be the calm within the storm. With a compassionate, non-judgmental, and psychologically mindful space, I hope you will feel deeply understood and optimistic. I work from a genuine, authentic and collaboratively open style. My work is tailored to each client’s needs and presenting problems. During our sessions, we may focus on discovering new coping strategies to manage problems, widening your perspective, providing tools to overcome stressors, facilitate insight as well as promoting self-care and resiliency. Having an international background, I value diversity and I am deeply attuned to your unique social and cultural identity and its effect on your individuality, sense of purpose and meaning in life. Currently, I am a full-time Staff Psychologist at the University of Pennsylvania, Counseling and Psychological Services. Check my WEBSITE for more information!

Hi! I’m Kimberly Carlin, LPC, and I work with women over 18 who want support navigating the ups and downs of life. Between work, relationships, family responsibilities, and personal growth, it’s normal to feel stressed, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to cope. I help women work through: * Anxiety, stress, and burnout * Relationship challenges and setting boundaries * Trauma or emotional abuse * Grief or major life transitions * Body image and disordered eating * Pressure to be “perfect” or meet high expectations * Life transitions such as parenting, career changes, or caregiving responsibilities Here’s what therapy with me looks like: CBT: Helps you spot unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier ones. ACT: Teaches you to accept feelings and focus on what matters most. Somatic Therapy: Uses your body to release stored stress, tension, and anxiety. IFS (Internal Family Systems): Helps you explore different parts of yourself and understand conflicting thoughts, emotions, or behaviors. Inner Child Work: Helps you understand how past experiences shape your feelings today. EMDR: A specialized approach that helps painful memories feel less overwhelming. Christian Counseling and Prayer (optional): For women who desire, therapy can integrate Biblical principles, prayer, and exploring God’s perspective of who you are to guide healing, self-worth, and decision-making. I provide online therapy and am licensed in multiple states, so you can continue care even if you travel, work remotely or move. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel understood, gain clarity, and build tools to navigate life with more confidence, self-compassion, and faith-based guidance if desired. Whether you’re feeling stressed, struggling with relationships, wanting to process trauma, or navigating major life transitions, I’m here to support you. I use client-first approach in my work. Whether you’re a young person feeling overwhelmed, a couple looking to reconnect, or an individual working toward body acceptance, I see you. In therapy, I blend kindness, humor, and warmth to create a space where you can feel heard. Together, we’ll build tools to manage anxiety, depression, and change— finding light even in some of our toughest moments.
I offer an informal approach to therapy where you can be totally free to be who you are. I have a lot of experience in working with clients with depression, anxiety and neurodiversity (ADHD/Autism). I also would be a good fit for anyone experiencing grief and loss—either through a death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, or life just hasn’t turned out the way you expected. I also understand that college can be a really tough transition and a crazy stressful time in life. I’ve been there and I would love to help you through it. Additionally, I am part of a first responder family and love to work with clients who are first responders (or love one) as I have personal and professional training and experience in this area.
I believe that we all have had experiences that shape our sense of the world and impact our relationships with others. My approach to therapy involves exploring how past experiences impact the present and helping my clients use those insights to make active, positive, and healthy changes around their sense of self and in their relationships. In the years I've been providing therapy, I have maintained a generalist practice, working with individuals facing a range of challenges. My areas of speciality are in working with women in life transitions, working with individuals who identify as LGBTQ+, and working with individuals experiencing issues around sexuality and relationship functioning. I am a sex-positive therapist with an open and accepting worldview about the infinite range of human sexual desire and expression. Using techniques from narrative therapy, interpersonal therapy, and psychodynamic therapy, as well as more directive approaches, I will work with you in creating a therapy experience that is completely individualized. My understanding is that no two people are alike, and, therefore, therapy is a uniquely co-created experience.
