Hi! I am excited that you have decided to reach out for help. My name is Dr. T. Navigating through life is already difficult and the pressure that comes with being a college student can make things harder. I too had to go through this stage in life. There are many things that have changed since I was a college student, however, there are many similarities between our experiences. Worrying about your grades, peer pressure, drugs and alcohol, issues at home with parents/caregivers, siblings and other family members, and your identity of simply trying to find out who you are is overwhelming. All these things can be scary, confusing, and even frustrating. The good news is that you don't have to go through the process alone. I can help and you can find comfort in knowing that what is said in my office, stays in office. As a professional I have had the opportunity to work in the military, daycare facilities, a community health center, a methadone clinic, parish jail, elementary and high school settings and private practice. My experience has prepared me to deal with a variety of issues and concerns while using an eclectic approach. I have gained an understanding that there is no cookie cutter way for every person. Everyone is unique even if they share similar experiences. Personally, I have dealt with family issues such as child abuse and neglect, psychological illnesses, drug and alcohol addictions, adoption, crimes consisting of theft and murder, and losing family members to the state's system. I have also had the experience of managing life while being the wife of an airman and a soldier in the US Army. These life experiences remind me that nobody asks for things to go wrong in their lives. It also helps me to remain humble because at any moment it could be me. Celebrate yourself in taking the first step to a new life that gains you the freedom you deserve. Keep in mind that although I am the professional you are the expert on your life. Together we will use your hope to effect change.

I specialize in helping people move through anxiety and stress, not just manage it. Using CBT-based and other therapeutic approaches, I combine clinical expertise with a genuinely warm, no-judgment space where you can be honest about what's really going on. ************************************************************ NOTE: Please verify your insurance with my website through Headway to confirm if your plan is in-network. My private pay rate is $150 per session. I also offer a sliding-scale option and would be happy to discuss an appropriate rate based on your circumstances.

I specialize in supporting high-achieving professionals, especially those in academia or the helping profession (doctors, nurses, therapists, pastors), who grapple with perfectionism, difficulty setting boundaries, codependency, and the challenge of prioritizing their own needs amidst the many demands of their personal and professional lives. As an immigrant, I bring a rich, cross-cultural perspective to therapy and a deep appreciation for how culture shapes identity, relationships, and mental health. Many of my clients are navigating complex intersections of cultural expectations, academic roles, and personal values. In addition to my clinical practice, I am a professor and active researcher. My academic work focuses on interpersonal trauma and its impact on relationships and meaning-making. This dual identity as both clinician and scholar informs my approach: deeply reflective, integrative, and grounded in both science and lived experience. I work exclusively via Telehealth with adult clients residing in GA, MI, and TX. I believe that meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship—one that offers both safety and challenges patterns by providing direct and honest feedback. If you're ready to invest in yourself and your well-being, I invite you to reach out.

I provide meaning-centered counseling for individuals navigating trauma, chronic pain, and long-standing stress. My practice is grounded in the belief that experiences are held not only as memories or thoughts, but also within the nervous system as patterns shaped over time. When appropriate, I integrate body-based tools and insight-oriented approaches, supporting students who may understand their experiences intellectually yet continue to feel trapped in how their body responds. Work is paced, collaborative, and attentive to context, readiness, and lived experience rather than quick symptom fixes. My services are offered through in-person sessions in Frisco, Texas, and via secure telehealth across the state. My private practice is self-pay. For those wanting to use insurance, I also see clients through Legacy Trails Therapy, where select plans are accepted under supervisory billing. This can be discussed during consultation.

Hello! I currently offer in-person sessions in Fayetteville, Arkansas. I specialize in working with men, women, and non-binary people on issues related to self-expression, relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, sexuality, and the stress and trauma often associated with these concerns. My practice proudly supports the LGBTQIA2+ community. I am in-network with the majority of health insurance providers in the greater Arkansas area. I work from a relational perspective to offer a safe, judgment-free environment where you can be your genuine self. Everyone tells you that college is the best time in your life and to enjoy it because it flies by. But what people don’t tell you is all the challenges that it can bring. Maybe it’s the first time you are away from your family and friends from home. It can also bring many challenges with pressure to drink or use drugs, navigating friendships and dating in a more complicated way, and figuring out what you want to do with the rest of your life. You might be in a position where in order to afford school you need to work on top of doing well in all your classes. I know personally how challenging, yet exciting, this time can be, and I am here to tell you that you don’t need to figure it all out on your own or even right now. Are you ready to enjoy your college experience, be fully present in the great moments without feeling stresses weighing you down everyday? It’s time to feel a sense of relief, confidence in who you are, and in your decisions. Together, we can make your life feel lighter and free up space for everything else you have going on! My Approach: I am a strong believer in the power of relationships. Having someone to talk to can increase our sense of happiness and positivity, and most importantly let us know that we are not alone. Life has many ups and downs, but it's what you do with them that matters. I am here to help you transform the tough moments into growth. Therapy with me looks like an open dialogue, where we both respect each other's point of view and collaborate to find solutions that help you overcome what’s been holding you back. We can talk about anything, no matter how hard it is to share. Whether it’s the good things or the bad, I am ready to hold space for even the strongest emotions that come up, because I know we can work through it together. I believe in a holistic approach to therapy that not only looks at your thoughts and feelings, but also how your environment, your cultural experiences, close relationships, and health, affect your mental wellbeing. We’ll use a variety of therapeutic techniques to best fit what you need, because therapy is not a one size fits all approach. We’ll make sure that those techniques are really working for you. It might be practicing mindfulness or trying out different coping skills to help things feel less overwhelming. Our approach will continue to grow as our therapeutic relationship develops. I know that therapy is not always easy, but I am here to support you each step of the way and I will always accept you for how you are in that moment, even the hard ones. A Little About Me: I went into undergrad undecided and had a hard time knowing what I wanted to do. I knew that I wanted to do something to help people and I wanted a career that I would enjoy. I always felt behind in some way because I didn’t know what I wanted to do right away. I have learned that a lot of people have a unique path to get to where they are. I worked as a school social worker for 8 years before private practice and that is when I really knew I loved counseling and wanted to continue on this path. I have lived in the Chicago area for most of my life and love the city! You can find me by the lake or exploring all the city has to offer. My hobbies are all over the place and include a mixture of baking, triathlons, knitting, going on long walks and finding the best matcha. I also love traveling (but hate flying) and have an ever growing list of places I want to visit.

My ideal client is someone who has experienced acute mental health challenges, or may be new in their therapeutic journey altogether, and is ready to move toward stability and growth. They may struggle with severe mood disorders, trauma, substance use, or daily life struggles, and feel discouraged by systems which have not met their needs. They want to understand themselves and their challenges better, build skills to improve self-sufficiency, and create a meaningful, prosperous life with sustainable supports in the community. I specialize in trauma-informed, ethical, and client-centered care grounded in inpatient mental health experience. I help clients develop insight, accountability, and practical skills to manage symptoms, strengthen resiliency, and transition successfully into community sustained living while prioritizing safety, dignity, and long-term stabilization. You do not have to navigate your healing journey alone. If you are ready to move forward and build hope for your future, I invite you to take the next step. Together, we can create a supportive, realistic path towards growth, empowerment, and lasting change.

Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, especially when you're carrying stress, uncertainty, or emotional pain. My goal working with clients is to create a supportive, collaborative space where you feel seen, understood, and valued just as you are. I work with clients who are navigating life, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, identity exploration, etc. I take a strengths-based, relational approach to therapy, meaning I focus not only on the difficulties you're facing, but also on the resilience, insight, and abilities you already bring into the room. Together, we build on those strengths to foster growth, healing, and meaningful change. My work is grounded in the belief that healing happens through connection. I prioritize developing a genuine, trusting therapeutic relationship where clients feel safe to explore their experiences at their own pace. I meet you where you are at! As someone who is half Turkish, I also value cultural identity, background, and lived experiences as essential parts of the therapeutic process. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply seeking greater self-understanding, therapy can be a place to find that and I would be honored to support you in that.

Life has a way of exhausting us, especially when it feels like we’re chasing standards no one could possibly meet. I know this struggle deeply. Like so many of us, I’ve juggled work, relationships and other obligations while forgetting to take care of myself. I know what it feels like to carry heavy expectations—as a woman of color and a child of an immigrant, I’ve often felt the weight of needing to be strong, capable, and successful all at once. I specialize in helping clients navigate anxiety and depression, and overcome the challenges of life transitions. As a new mother, I have expanded my skills in supporting perinatal individuals as well.

You're used to holding it all together, but inside it's starting to feel like too much. You may feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in patterns you can't seem to break. Maybe you're overthinking everything, feeling stress in your relationships, or carrying the weight of past experiences. I’m a family trauma therapist and I’d love to help you heal from family chaos. Throughout my career, I’ve worked closely with those impacted by addiction, mental health challenges, and intergenerational trauma. I specialize in trauma, EMDR, and working with overachievers who are ready to move beyond coping and create meaningful and lasting change. My approach blends EMDR, parts work (IFS), and attachment-focused therapy to support deep, lasting healing. Rather than just talking through challenges, we’ll gently process past experiences, understand the parts of you that feel stuck or overwhelmed, and work toward a greater sense of safety and connection, both within yourself and in your relationships. If you grew up in a chaotic, unpredictable, or emotionally unsafe family, you may now find yourself struggling with anxiety, relationship difficulties, or a constant sense of pressure to be “okay.” Even when life is stable, your nervous system may not feel at ease. Reach out if you're ready to stop just surviving through the day and start thriving in life.
