I attempt to gather information in an easy manner, not "drilling" questions so people can feel comfortable sharing. I inquire whether previous counseling has been attempted to understand prior experiences with therapy and how it was helpful or not. I am a hopeful, positive person and try to help others find their strengths, positivity and hope within them as well. I will ask what goals a client has for themselves for therapy and life so we can focus on achieving those goals. As an experienced therapist, I recognize that people have had difficulty in their lives and do not diminish their story or not discuss the "hard parts" while we try to find ways to heal.

My passion in counseling centers around helping clients heal from past trauma, while facilitating the rewiring of their nervous systems. I focus on supporting their journey toward feeling open to connection and personal growth. I would be honored to work with you and help you find the path that's going to help you make peace with the past, and write a new story moving forward. A story where you can be your own beacon of safety for yourself and for others. Healing from past traumatic experiences is possible, I've seen it for myself, and I fully believe it's possible for you as well. With a BA in Nursing in addition to my MA in counseling, my nursing background greatly influences my approach to counseling. I try to educate my clients on how the brain and how our nervous system works as much as possible, so that my clients can leave each session feeling empowered to work with their nervous system, and not against it. Together we can create the right goals, with the right timeline, that equip and empower you to see your beautiful self in a whole new light, with a sense of agency, and hope for your future. I encourage you to reach out for a free 30 minute consultation to see if we would be a good fit for each other, hope to hear from you soon!

I work best with students who are doing their best but still feel overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally tired. Many are balancing school, relationships, and personal pressures, and may struggle with overthinking, self-doubt, or expressing their needs. Therapy is a warm, supportive space where you don’t have to have everything figured out. Together, we focus on helping you feel more grounded, understood, and confident as you navigate college life.
Jasvir Gill, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with expertise in Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD). He earned his Master of Science in Nursing from West Coast University and is an active member of the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). With experience in private practice, he has also stepped into leadership roles, managing his current office while the supervising doctor was away, demonstrating both clinical expertise and dedication to patient care. Driven by a personal connection to his community, Jasvir brings compassion and understanding to his work. Growing up in an immigrant household, he witnessed the challenges friends and family faced when mental health concerns went unaddressed. This experience shapes his approach to care: he prioritizes honesty, open communication, and creating a trusting relationship from the very first interaction. His goal is to help individuals, couples, families, and groups feel heard, supported, and empowered to explore treatment options beyond medication when appropriate. His therapeutic approach emphasizes collaboration and patient-centered care. He works closely with clients to understand their needs, develop tailored strategies, and guide them toward achievable mental health goals. Recognized for his dedication to excellence, Jasvir received a Daisy Award during his time in the ICU. He is committed to helping his clients move from simply coping to thriving, offering support, education, and guidance to foster meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
Hey! Excited to meet you. I believe that we all deserve access to mental health care! We deserve a safe place to express our feelings and work on becoming healthier versions of ourselves. I know what it feels like to be overwhelmed with course work, professors, expectations, and balancing your every day life. I'm here to help.
I help young adults who feel out of control of their lives. Stressed Out. Overwhelmed. Not quite sure how this whole adulting thing works. Trying to balance school, work, family, friends, and relationships. My clients struggle like you do. Despite being smart, driven, and funny, life is hard. When clients first come in, they may not feel enjoyment in the same activities they used to love. They may tend to mindlessly watch Youtube instead of completing their to-do list. They feel so stressed that they don’t finish tasks, and then beat themselves up for not completing it. The cycle continues as they feel worse and worse. My clients come into therapy looking for support, avoid doing things they used to love, have trouble connecting with family and friends, and find themselves second guessing their decisions. Choices may seem overwhelming, as if one wrong move sends them back to square one. They can’t sleep at night and have trouble completing assignments for college. In counseling, clients and I work together to see their choices in a wider lens and find ways that they are in control. We come up with plans to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. Please contact me if you’re ready to take control of your life and be the person you want to be.
Feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, dating challenges, or life transitions? You don’t have to navigate it alone. I love working with college students seeking clarity, peace, and confidence—whether you're adjusting to campus life, preparing for the future, or feeling emotionally stuck and alone. Originally from Houston, Texas and now based in Atlanta, I’ve been fully licensed since 2018 and practicing since 2012. My early work focused on adolescents and families affected by substance use, but I found my sweet spot working with young adults navigating anxiety, relationship stress, and identity development. Whether you're facing college anxiety, academic pressure, or relationship concerns, I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can process emotions and grow at your own pace. Therapy with me is relaxed, empowering, and rooted in real-life support. Healing isn’t instant, but it starts with being open, heard, and supported. Let’s take that first step—together.
I am a therapist practice at Triangle Counseling Agency in Raleigh. I am currently taking new clients and see clients remotely. I see children, youth and adults and also do couples counseling. I have been licensed since 2014. I am licensed in North Carolina, Virginia and Texas. I work with a wide variety of ages of people and have experience with using cognitive behavioral therapy, dialetical behavior therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy. I work with my client to find interventions that they will use to help manage their symptoms or concerns. I look forward to meeting you in the future.
Hi there! My name is Nikita and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate. I am passionate about working with individuals struggling with issues such as anxiety, life transitions, grief, and self-esteem. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming, inclusive, and non-judgmental space for you to be seen and heard. Your story is important and deserves to be heard. I would be honored to collaborate with you and assist you on your journey!
I work with adolescents and adults suffering from mood and anxiety disorders, complex trauma, women’s issues, narcissistic abuse, attachment issues, and personality disorders. I also work with couples to improve communication, develop healthy conflict-resolution skills, and create a long-term family vision and mission that restores harmony in everyday life. I believe psychoeducation and a personalized mental health care plan empower clients to make lasting changes quickly. I create a unique treatment plan for each client with specific, measurable goals. I use therapeutic breathwork, CBT, and DBT to help clients quickly reduce symptoms while evaluating emotional and behavioral patterns that may require longer-term therapy. I approach personality disorders, attachment dysfunction, and identity confusion from a developmental and psychodynamic perspective and have experience treating borderline, narcissistic, and schizoid personality disorders. I earned my B.A. in psychology from the University of Texas at Austin, and after a career as a business executive, returned to school in 2020, earning a Master of Science degree in clinical mental health counseling from Tarleton State University. I am an alumna of the national women’s leadership academy, Leadership America, and was selected in 2015 to be a patient advocate for the National Center for Healthcare Research in Washington, D.C. I am a writer, public speaker, and patient-first healthcare activist, and have published many written works about the dangers of using pharmaceuticals and medical devices cleared (not fully approved) through the FDA's lax 510k marketing process. I enjoy gardening, all forms of creativity and self-expression, love to learn, and believe that where there is humor, there is healing. My husband and I live in Central Texas and enjoy camping with our two dogs and parakeet. We have two adult sons and three granddaughters and believe in the restoration of family relationships as a path to well-being.
Welcome! I am excited to meet you and work with you. I love working with college students. This is such a special time in your life. Transitioning from home, into college and into the workforce can be exciting but stressful. Many struggle with homesickness, stress from academics, problems with social adjustment or time management. Or just simply suddenly dealing with depression, anxiety, or past trauma that finally needs to be addressed. No matter the issues, I am here to help.
Welcome to Salako Psychiatry! My first and only priority from the moment you walk through the door is YOU. I wholeheartedly believe that medical and psychiatric care is a collaborative experience and I strive to ensure clear communication of treatment goals and plans so that we are always on the same page. But after every medication management appointment or therapy session, I hope you leave feeling confident, emboldened, and proud of the decision you made to take care of your mental health.
