Axis Mundi Center for Mental Health is a not-for-profit 501c3 charitable endeavor that provides affordable therapy and counseling services while seeking to address the growing and dire need for multi-culturally competent clinicians. Axis Mundi Center for Mental Health believes that authenticity is a big part of getting therapy right. We also know that one of the best indicators of therapy success is the rightness of fit between the therapist and the client! That means it's vital for you to have a sense of who we are, and that old models of "invisibility" in a therapist aren't going to contribute to you making a good choice. Our clinicians get that and identify themselves in ways that are personal, genuine, and still respectful and committed to all of the ways that therapy is all about YOU. We are a part of a growing trend in mental health services that acknowledges and seeks to address the need for therapists and counselors who are culturally humble. We are devoted to developing that awareness and skill-set, and are a diverse and growing group of practitioners who offer a variety of approaches to mental wellness…Traditional treatment like CBT and psychodynamic psychotherapy, holistic and somatic therapy methods, indigenous approaches, and spiritual perspectives are all offered. We work on a sliding scale from $30 and up depending on the practitioner. The initial consultation with our intake coordinator is free! We’re here to change and challenge what therapy has meant and who it’s been accessible to. Our group of licensed and pre-licensed clinicians have a varying range of expertise and styles. We invite you to visit our website or reach out for an intake to find folks who feel like a good fit!

People I work with often are starting out in therapy or interested in moving towards trauma work. If you're interested in learning how to slow it down, use mindfulness, or feel more connected to your body, I utilize narrative and somatic techniques to help people reclaim their peace, energy, and rest. As an Asian-Mexican-American psychotherapist, I enjoy helping people learn more about connecting to ancestry, spirituality, community healing and peer support resources that remind us we are all connected. When I'm not doing therapy I love going to the beach, writing, camping/hiking/backpacking, and traveling.
Hi, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. I strongly believe in meeting a person where they are at and fostering a client-centered approach to recovery. I have worked with a wide variety of disorders. I have extensive experience with people who are experiencing depression, anxiety, work stress, crisis, relationship problems, behavior problems, and school stress. I have assisted with Life Coaching, Solution-Focusing therapy, ACT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and goal setting. I work with my client on identifying goals and breaking them down into achievable steps.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a love for holistic healing approaches. I go beyond talk-therapy, to treat issues including depression, anxiety, and trauma from multiple angles (mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual). As is common with many therapists, therapy changed my life and ignited my desire to do the same for others. I told myself if I could help just one person the way my therapist helped me, my life’s purpose would be fulfilled. My approach isn’t traditional; I know that each individual needs tools and interventions tailored to their unique experiences. Furthermore, I understand that a sense of well-being goes far beyond the thoughts and emotions we may struggle with. I believe in treating the whole person; mind, body, and spirit. I blend evidenced-based western approaches to psychology, including DBT and ACT, with eastern wellness practices such as mindfulness and yoga. I’m a wholehearted, empathetic therapist, but I’m not afraid to challenge my clients if/when needed. Not every client I treat has a life-altering transition, but I’ve witnessed significant shifts in the majority of them while processing trauma and treating depression, anxiety, and panic disorders. It brings me joy to work with individuals from various backgrounds and orientations. I work hard to get to know all of the intimate details that make you a wondrously unique individual, so that you may feel seen, heard, and understood. More importantly, so that we may work together in creating your vision for your highest self.
I help clients deal with depression, anxiety and the struggles with navigating relationships and life changes. We work together to discover, and help you move towards a path in life that works well for you. I offer a warm and accepting space where you can contemplate your current life path and explore your hopes and dreams.
When people ask me what my ideal client I actually wonder what's people's ideal therapists? I think this is important when thinking about an ideal client and therapists because I see it as a collaborative work. I'm not here to force you what I think is best for you, therapy is something both the client and therapist figure out together to meet the clients' needs and goals. I find it important to keep in mind intersectionalities and how society and culture play an important role. I enjoy working with different diversities such as LGBTQ+, culture, and etc. I also work with trauma using informal exposure, art therapy, teen therapy, and couples therapy. I also love doing work involving aspects of DBT therapy such as mindfulness. I know the therapy process is hard, but I want to try to make anyone feel they can be themselves (sometimes I use humor when appropriate). Searching for the right therapist is hard so whether it's me or not I encourage you to keep looking and find who's right for you out there. Feel free to reach out for a phone consult or email!
We provide psychological testing and therapy to ages 1 and up. Specialize in ADHD and anxiety for all ages. Use mostly evidence based approaches.
Holistic Therapist For Individuals Are you feeling stuck or maybe even unable to identify what you are feeling? Life can sometimes throw us challenges that can impact our emotional well-being. I am a first generation Asian American. My specialties include anxiety, depression, life transitions, and working with Asian American/minority issues such as family conflict, intergenerational trauma, and cultural identity. By exploring your cultural identity, building resilience, and fostering self-compassion, we can work towards creating a life you want. Are you someone whose checked many of the boxes in life but have found yourself in a less than ideal relationship? One day it’s all good, and the next day it’s all bad. You feel alone, isolated…like you can’t talk to anyone about what’s going on. You might feel embarrassed or what’s happening might just feel indescribable? You wish you could talk to your partner about it, but his mood is so unpredictable, you’re not sure if that’s even safe. Not to mention, sharing your experience with family or friends could mean having to face their judgment and receive unhelpful advice to "just leave." I specialize in supporting Black women who are struggling with communication and self-doubt in their intimate relationship. You’ll learn to be more assertive, set boundaries and increase confidence. My style is anti-therapist-y. Like talking to one of the girls but with a certain set of skills. Progressive and safe with a sprinkle of woo. You deserve to be supported by someone who’s “been there, done that” and can create a safe space for you to speak freely, learn to show up as your full self and have the peaceful relationship you want and deserve! Visit my website to schedule a free 15-minute call and let's find out if we're a good fit to get started.

Navigating this world as a woman of color provides me with insight of a wide range of life experiences such as difficulty with change, inequalities, traumas, toxic relationships, workplace exploitation, managing a society that values binary labels and much more. Seeking therapy can be complex and multi-layered, so finding a therapist you connect with is essential. I believe in a working partnership with clients and strive to utilize client strengths to help with each intervention. Rather than work from any one theoretical orientation, I create interventions to match the specific needs of each unique individual, based on my years of accumulated knowledge and experience. The range of evidence based therapeutic modalities I utilize to help achieve goals include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, EMDR, motivational interviewing, solution-focused, narrative, and psychoeducation. Allow me to join your journey of individual or group healing!
