Therapists for college students near 30332
I believe an individual has the tools to live the fulfilling life they want to live and I, as the therapist, can help guide him/her to achieve his/her goals. I create a non-judgmental therapeutic atmosphere and I make sure to listen to my clients. Throughout my years as a counselor, I have had the pleasure of counseling individuals who need help with developing effective coping skills for their anxiety and depressive symptoms. I am also passionate about individuals who are going through bereavement and grief; no one should have to experience loss alone. Infertility is an area I am also passionate about because I have also experienced it. I also have experience in counseling individuals who have experienced trauma. My non-judgmental atmosphere in the therapeutic relationship, my skills as a competent counselor, and my natural desire to help individuals can be assets for my client's healing process. Sometimes we need someone to listen to us vent about life stressors, and I am here for that. To get to know me more, feel free to check out my website. Hope to see you soon! I am part of the Path referral network, which means that when you reach out, my team will get back to you quickly to schedule our first session. Through Path, I am in-network for most commercial insurances, and the average cost of a session for clients who use their insurance is less than $30.

In my over ten years of experience, I have worked with a myriad of conditions. The most common issues that I see are anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, women’s issues, substance abuse, stress, self-esteem, and relationship problems. I am a compassionate, non-judgemental therapist. Typically, I use a mix of cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, and mindfulness based cognitive therapy techniques with clients. I believe that your brain is a muscle, and with enough work you can train your brain. Together we will explore the thoughts and behaviors that keep you feeling trapped. When you work on changing your thoughts and cognitions, your behavior can change. This in turn, can change your life. I strongly believe in continuing education and learning something new each day. Some of the specific areas that I have much expertise, education, and research in are: -Anxiety in college -Wellness and health counseling -Eating Disorders and Athletes -Stress overload in teens and young adults -Women’s Issues I love working with people who are not afraid to be challenged and those who are motivated to make a lasting change in their life. As far as age populations go, I can work with any age, but work best with those aged over 14 years old. I believe that each person has the power to have control in their life. My hope is for you to leave my office feeling inspired and empowered.

No matter where you are in your mental health journey, I hope to provide you with your own unique treatment experience. I am a licensed clinical psychologist based out of Evolve Counseling and Wellness and I specialize in helping people to get relief from OCD, anxiety, phobias, negative body image, disordered eating, and trauma. I use evidence-based practices that have been shown to be effective, while remaining sensitive to the impact of the world we live in on each client's presenting concerns, identity, and individual situation. I tailor interventions to help you to get unstuck, get in touch with your resilient self, and be able to live the life you want to live. Are you feeling overwhelmed with classes, relationships, family, and the world in general? Are you feeling lonely, sad, or worried and are convinced that you will always be this way? If you answered "yes" to either of these questions, it is time to get some help. My name is Margaret and I have been helping students for a long time. My low-key sessions often involve music therapy and always begin with this sentence: "What are your best hopes for our time together?" Take a moment and think about how wonderful it can be to trust someone with not only your fears, but your hopes as well. Feels pretty good, right? Send me an email and let's get started. You deserve to start feeling better. Instagram: canopycounselingllc https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/therapists/margaret-burgess-wright-roswell-ga/1360249 www.canopycounseling.net

What would it look for you to live a life that more closely aligns with your values and potential? Sometimes we find ourselves feeling stuck as we repeat the same self-defeating thoughts and behaviors. We try to cope with the stresses of life, but our coping mechanisms just don't seem to work anymore. Let's face it: life can be really hard at times. But with the help of others, we can take steps towards becoming the people we were created to be. As a therapist, I create a warm environment to help you achieve your goals. I work with adults and adolescents who struggle with addiction, depression, and anxiety, as well as those who are simply adjusting to challenging life circumstances and events (i.e., a global pandemic, the loss of a loved one, moving to a new city). In all of these cases, I believe that change and healing take place in the context of relationships with other people, and I would consider it a privilege to cultivate a therapeutic relationship with you as you take steps towards living into your values and potential.
I help college students and adults across Georgia who deal with anxiety, stress, perfectionism, and self-doubt. If you’re constantly overthinking, dealing with anxiety or panic attacks, struggling to set boundaries, or feeling like you’re never doing enough—you’re not alone. I use practical, evidence-based approaches like CBT and ACT to help you challenge self-doubt, build confidence, and create healthier relationships. Therapy with me is a space where you can be real, learn to manage anxiety, and find a better balance in life—all from the comfort of a virtual session. Let’s work together to help you feel more in control and less overwhelmed.
You have been trying to do the right things in your relationships but it seems like everything you do either backfires or results in the same conflict. This leaves you anxious and feeling as though there is no hope in your family, social or love life. You have the suspicion that past childhood trauma or previous feelings of abandonment are impacting your current romantic relationships. You may have explored your attachment style and want to get a handle on how to not let your past impact your future. Maybe you are someone who gets along well in your relationships - perhaps, too well because you aren’t implementing healthy boundaries. You’re drained but don’t know how to get out of the cycle because everyone now expects for you to be the “strong” friend, or adult child. Perhaps you are someone who is going through the difficult transition into separation, divorce, and or coparenting. You might even be experiencing one or any combination of the things above, and find yourself over relying on coping skills like emotional eating, drinking, using substances, etc. that are counterproductive.
