Hello! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and I specialize in treating symptoms of anxiety, depression, everyday stress, codependency and relationship issues, self-esteem and life transitions. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
Do you find yourself feeling overwhelmed and anxious, wondering why daily tasks and relationships always seem to feel so hard? I help people who feel stuck in anxiety or trauma figure out how to move forward and make lasting change. My approach is collaborative and trauma-informed, designed to help you understand the "why" behind your challenges while building a practical toolkit for "how" to feel better. I combine evidence based approaches to make an individualized therapy experiences that goes at your pace.
I am a social worker focused primarily on helping those with a wide variety of mental health concerns. With a background in therapeutic communities, I believe it is essential to protect the dignity and humanity of a patient no matter the extent of their suffering. My work is guided by psychoanalysis and phenomenology, which allow me to collaboratively explore the meaning of one's difficulties with a patient in the context of their life to alleviate rather than manage symptoms. I pride myself on work with clients who are apprehensive about therapy, have stalled in therapy in the past, are skeptical of modern paradigms of mental health, have had unusual experiences or have unusual spiritual beliefs, have been called too smart for their own good or have otherwise been made to feel difficult.
I specialize in working with young adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and identity concerns. I have particular experience providing gender-affirming therapy and supporting clients as they explore and celebrate their gender identities. My goal is to help you build a meaningful life by identifying and embracing your authentic self. I emphasize teaching coping skills that will empower you to confront life's many challenges with dignity and integrity. Compassion and social justice are at the center of my practice. My approach is collaborative, curious, strengths-based, and playful. As we confront your experiences of suffering or injustice, you will find me both empathetic and irreverent: there is strength in humor and in sincerity. In our first sessions, you can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental space where we clarify what brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from our work together. I firmly believe therapy should be a place where you feel seen, valued, and understood, and I encourage you to reflect on whether this feels true after our first meeting.
Welcome! Starting your mental wellness journey can feel like a big step, and I'm glad you're here. As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience in the mental health field, I strive to create a warm, non-judgmental space where I work collaboratively with clients to navigate life's challenge, build resilience, and create meaningful change. I specialize in working with adults ages 18+, with a focus on depression, anxiety, ADHD, chronic health conditions, and stress related to academics. Adjusting and navigating through life as a college student can be challenging, and together we can find your path to happiness and success!

College can be one of the most exciting chapters of your life, but also one of the most overwhelming. Between academic pressure, relationship changes, identity exploration, family dynamics, and the constant push to “have it all together,” it’s easy to feel stretched thin or even lost. I’m Theresa, a licensed therapist who specializes in helping college students just like you find clarity, balance, and real coping tools in the midst of it all. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, stress, depression, burnout, or just need a safe space to unpack life, this space was created with you in mind. Therapy isn’t about having a diagnosis, it’s about having a space. A space where you can be honest without judgment, process what’s heavy, and learn how to thrive, not just survive. If you’re ready to feel more like you, let’s talk. You don’t have to figure this all out on your own.
As the owner of North Andover Counseling and a Psychotherapist for over 20 years, I bring a non-judgmental and down to earth approach to therapy. I offer a safe environment that provides a supportive place for children, adolescents and adults to begin to build skills to navigate life challenges after life altering events. I work with your strengths and help you develop new strategies to deal with the issues you want to change. It takes courage to ask for help. I respect how hard that can be. A quick conversation can help you decide if I can be of assistance to you, if we are a good fit.
My intention as a psychotherapist is to create a safe and supportive environment in which people can learn and share more about themselves, and in so doing, ease their suffering and create possibilities of positive movement and change in their lives. I am grounded in a relational and psychodynamic approach. This means that I am attuned to building a respectful interactive relationship, and that I bring an awareness of the deep impact of the past on people's present lives. My practice is diverse, with a specialization in trauma focused psychotherapy. Other areas of expertise are the treatment of depression, grief and loss, anxiety, relational issues, emotional regulation, and difficulties with family of origin.
Hi there! My name is Emersyn (they/them). I am a white, queer, nonbinary, neurodivergent human who is committed to lifelong learning and presently engaged in their own healing. I love working with other LGBTQIA2S+ folks around identity exploration, relationships, and feelings of erasure or invalidation within the community. I also enjoy working with neurodivergent individuals to identify strengths, needs, and ways to implement accommodations. I work with adults ages 18+ and children ages 6-10. I believe that children, like adults, have rich and dynamic inner worlds, behaviors, and concerns that deserve to be held with sincerity and curiosity. Previously, I have worked with adults with serious mental illness in a group home setting, as well as children with trauma histories in a special education setting. My therapy style is collaborative, systems-focused, person-centered, and casual. I am interested to learn about the familial, societal, and historical contexts that have shaped your/your child’s life. I trust you/your child to take the lead, and I will offer guidance along the way. Past clients have appreciated my genuineness, curiosity, and receptivity to feedback. I offer virtual and in-person sessions for adults and in-person sessions only for children, including outdoor/walk-and-talk (pending weather). Please note that I will be masking for in-person sessions due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. I will provide extra masks should you choose to wear one.

The pressure of juggling college life along with course load, social pressures and life transitions can be tough. I can help and support you on this journey while learning important life skills to mange all these life stressors on your own. I believe that relationships determine a lot about how we interact with the world - in both helpful and less helpful ways. Our behaviors, attitudes, thoughts, feelings, and relationship styles are reinforced over time by our experiences, families, partners, environments, and culture. Psychotherapy can help when stress, trauma, life transitions, or difficult relationships call for new ways of coping and navigating our lives. My approach integrates evidence-based practices shown to be effective including, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Family Systems, Attachment Theory, and an Interpersonal Process approach, to provide highly individualized psychotherapy services to my clients. Together, we will work to define your treatment goals and to create new patterns of thinking, feeling, and relating to others and the world around you. This collaborative process will help you feel more connected to your values and to engage more fully in your life.
My clients are adults seeking therapy for depression, anxiety, trauma, relational issues, social isolation, and dealing with unexpected stress. I have worked with children and families, college students, parents, and adults in a variety of settings. My clients know they will always have a safe and genuine space to improve their holistic wellness.

Life can be incredibly stressful and lonely, at times, especially during the college years. I believe in the ability of therapy to help people heal and change. Often, this process starts when we feel at our lowest—lost and overwhelmed. An experienced therapist, I provide a warm, compassionate space to talk about the things that matter to you, explore what might be holding you back, and create a plan together to make the changes you desire. People say I put them at ease and quickly bring a new perspective to the way they have been thinking about a problem. I have a holistic, individualized approach—weaving together therapeutic interventions tailored to your unique needs. It would be an honor to help you navigate a difficult challenge or circumstance.
