At its core, therapy is about the people sitting in a room together (or often sitting on computers together), and that safety within the relationship is one of the most important aspects of finding a good fit. I am honored to create that space with you. As a therapist, I start with one basic assumption: you are the expert of your own experience. My hope is to empower people to better understand those experiences or to bring in additional perspectives that might shed more light on aspects of one’s life. Informed by my background in queer theory, feminist theory, and anti-racist ideologies, I work with my clients to identify the external structures of power impacting their lives, then engage with the areas of their lives within their control where they can make changes and achieve their goals. While many forms of therapy take from one another and blend together, I begin with trauma informed relational-focused work and draw heavily on DBT/CBT/mindfulness-based therapy modalities. I view therapeutic relationships as dynamic, and work to tailor the experience to my clients’ needs and preferences. Whether you are someone who likes sessions to feel more conversational, someone who appreciates tangible takeaways like worksheets, or someone who wants to spend time practicing skills in our sessions, we can work together to find a treatment plan that suits you.

At Hive Health, we believe healing is not one‑size‑fits‑all. Whether you’re a medical student carrying the weight of burnout, a young adult navigating life transitions, or a teen exploring your identity, you deserve care that sees the whole you. Like a hive, our well‑being is interconnected. When one part struggles, the whole system feels it. That’s why our approach is trauma‑informed, holistic, and culturally humble, addressing not just symptoms, but the deeper roots of stress, anxiety, depression, and burnout.

The road to self discovery is scary, and you are taking the first steps in seeking out the right therapist for you. It’s an important investment and you want to make sure you find just the right connection. My approach is deeply personal. Working with each person to learn and identify how they are impacted by the stories of their life and their history. In doing so, we are able to bring out what is truly possible. I believe strongly in the power of our stories. From a very young age, we all start learning things about ourselves and our world. These “life lessons” start to turn into the stories we repeat to ourselves over and over again. They become who we are. Those stories are not always nice and they hold us back. But most importantly, they are often not true! They are the stories we created when we were young and we have retold them to ourselves over and over again in a weird game of telephone with one player.

Hi, I'm Andi (pronouns: she/they). I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) in Washington and Massachusetts, and I have been practicing since 2010. Therapy with me is fluid, and involves a mixture of deep processing and more structured skill building. I specialize in supporting adults from a trauma-informed, culturally-responsive, somatic, social justice and Internal Family Systems (IFS) perspective, and am intimately aware of the particular challenges of Asian Americans, marginalized groups and the immigrant experience. I provide a relatable, compassionate and open space, where you can explore all aspects of yourself, and feel heard, seen and known. I believe we all have the innate capacity to heal and transform. Therapy with me is holistic - engaging your mind, body, emotions and spirit - focusing on concrete skills and strategies for tangible relief in your day to day, as well as deep understanding and establishing a greater sense of self, ease and freedom to “just be”. Thank you for considering me as a potential support in your journey. I'm happy to answer any questions you have in a free 15-minute consultation.

I am currently accepting new clients with evening and weekend availability. My practice is rooted in the core assumption that people are doing the best they can at any given moment. I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families who desire change and want to reduce their suffering. My primary focus is helping individuals navigate life transitions related to adjustment to college, relationships, career, and identity. Together, we’ll work toward healing patterns that no longer serve you and develop practical skills for lasting change. I view my clinical work through a trauma-informed lens with a focus on empowering individuals through identifying and utilizing their strengths, resources, and resilience. My specialties include depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, low self-esteem, and family conflict. I spent the first 5 years of my career receiving extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy at McLean Hospital, a leading psychiatric facility affiliated with Harvard Medical School. My approach to therapy is collaborative and relational, meaning we will work together to develop and work towards your goals and hopefully laugh along the way. At Changing Sails, we aim to help clients develop the ability to "sit with" difficult feelings while learning how to "adjust the sails" and move in the direction of their dreams. I work with primarily depression, anxiety and ADHD but have experience with a wide variety of diagnoses and challenges. I have a passion for working with folks who feel stuck, overwhelmed, unsure of themselves or feel a little "different".

As a therapist, I partner with you to make sense of your story. Through this work, we often discover together that what’s happening for you in the present makes perfect sense given what you’ve lived through so far and the forces that have shaped you. With this understanding, you can more easily access softness toward yourself and others, and even find other ways of being. I primarily practice from relational psychodynamic and trauma perspectives, drawing from neurodevelopmental, family systems, and body-based frames as appropriate. As a social worker, I am attuned to the ways that systems of power and oppression contribute to experiences of mental health.

I am a licensed psychotherapist utilizing holistic, creative modalities to provide healing that is effective for children, adolescents and adults. I utilize two main modalities in my practice: Expressive Arts Therapy and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). Through these modalities, I empower people who are having difficulty with depression and anxiety due to transitions, low self-esteem, stress, chronic pain, relationship issues, work/school obligations, trauma and grief. Expressive Arts Therapy is an effective way to process difficult emotions by making meaning through the exploration of our creative works. EFT is part of a holistic mind-body movement that works by finding the negative charges in our bodies while simultaneously sending calming signals to decrease our physical and emotional responses. My clients describe me as relatable, comforting, and validating. With compassion and acceptance, I welcome you to join me just as you are.

Though it may be difficult to see the opportunity for healing and change in the midst of a struggle, seeking help is a first step toward new possibilities. While we may not always have control over all aspects of our lives, we have control over how we choose to react, how we make meaning of our situation, and most importantly how we grow from the challenges presented to us. I work with adults throughout the lifespan, from young adults to older adults, in an individual and group therapy setting. I specialize in working with depression, anxiety, trauma, identity development, life transitions, and navigating relationships. I love working with clients who recognize the need for change in their lives and are motivated to work towards bettering their relationship with themselves and others. I utilize both psychodynamic (how the past influences the present) and interpersonal approaches (how relational patterns impact psychological well-being) to therapy. In addition, I also borrow from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)/Mindfulness to help build healthy coping strategies. I do not believe in a one size fits all therapy, but I do believe in two necessary factors: hope and a strong therapeutic relationship. Hope ignites the courage to take the first step towards change and the therapeutic relationship is the vessel in which the journey towards change takes place.

I am a New York State licensed Psychotherapist experienced in working with a broad range of issues including depression, anxiety, loss and grief, LGBTQIA+ issues, family and relationship struggles, identity, complex life transitions, and trauma ranging from the personal to systemic. I am a graduate of Hunter College’s Silberman School of Social Work and completed training in working with Couples and Families through the Ackerman Institute for the Family and advanced post graduate training in Relational Therapy at the Stephen A. Mitchell Center for Relational Studies. I bring warmth, deep listening, honesty, cultural sensitivity and humility, and a spirit of collaboration, authenticity, and humor to my therapeutic work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I have worked extensively with adolescents and emergent adults and understand that these junctures typically involve a great deal of growth and change. This can in turn be exciting and wonderful, and also sometimes disorienting and overwhelming. I approach therapy as a collaborative exploration of an individual's lived experiences, the meanings they make out of these experiences, and the relationships they cultivate with self and others in the context of these experiences and meaning-making. In therapy together we slow these conscious and lesser conscious processes down to better understand what might be happening, where people may be stuck in self-limiting narratives or patterns, where resilience, joy, and strength can be recognized, and where growth and change are possible.
