I specialize in ADHD and Autism, as well as enjoy helping people navigate issues related to anxiety and depression. I believe that Resilience is a skill we can learn, and it is what is going to help us make it through whatever challenges life may throw our way. In my previous career I was a medic in the US Army, so if your experiences involve the military, emergency medicine, or moving around a lot, I get it. I have 7 kids and went to college at 40, so if you are a non traditional student, I get it. Lets talk about it!
If you've been living in the ADHD or Anxious side of Tik-Tok, seeing yourself in every video, you might be asking yourself how you're going to get through the semester. You've got a lot on your plate, you want it ALL! You're smart, funny, driven. And sometimes that gets messy. Are you falling behind, missing home, staying up too late? Maybe your roommate or your SO just doesn't understand what it's like to be you right now. You and your peers have been through a lot: life-altering pandemic, active-shooter drills, social unrest, ugly politics, and more. It's a lot. I provide a supportive space where you can build skills and self-compassion. I offer fully online therapy across Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, Ohio, South Carolina, Vermont, and Virginia — perfect for college students studying remotely or balancing life’s demands. Call, text, or email me today. Or visit my website to schedule a quick chat to see if we're a good match - it's free and a great way to see how I can help you live your best life.
I work with students and young adults who are struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, and dealing with the undergoing changes of going to college or starting full time work. I offer therapy without judgment, I am here to help you challenge the critic in your mind telling you that you're doing everything wrong and that everyone is judging you all the time. I use a mix of cognitive and behavioral approaches to help you learn ways to change how you think about yourself and the world around you. I help by providing a nonjudgmental space and time for you to process through the thoughts that are troubling you and the worries you have. I am available to see clients in Illinois and Indiana.
Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck in your thoughts, or just not like yourself lately? You’re not alone—and you don’t have to figure it out alone, either. I work with students who are navigating stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and life transitions that can feel confusing or heavy. Many of the people I work with are used to putting others first, staying busy, or “holding it together” even when they’re struggling inside. If that sounds familiar, this may be a good place to start. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I offer a space that’s judgment-free, supportive, and focused on what you need. Together, we’ll explore what’s going on and create a personalized plan that may include therapy, medication support, or both—always at a pace that feels right for you. I currently see clients through secure, easy-to-use telehealth, so you can access care from wherever you feel most comfortable. If you’re ready to feel better, I’d love to help you get started.
During our sessions together, I will support you in exploring the many parts of you and how they came to be. I will work with you to identify the negative messages connected to these parts of you. We will form a relationship with these parts and create a safe place for all of you to be seen, heard, and understood. In this safe place, you will heal yourself. Developing my own internal resources has helped me to move through some very difficult times as a member of the LGBTQ+ community. Using evidence based research, I provide care that values every part of you and respects where you came from. In those moments of pain and struggle and self-discovery, I will help you to choose yourself. I seek to create a safe and inclusive space for black-bodied individuals, first generation immigrants, LGBTQ+ folks, survivors of trauma, sex workers, and clients who are struggling with relationship and intimacy issues. My approach to mental health care is rooted in anti-oppressive and decolonizing frameworks. The treatment modalities that I use have been found to be effective across many cultures, ages, genders, and experiences. I am here to support my clients in rediscovering themselves, strengthening their mind-body connection, and living the life they have always wanted.
Are you having a hard time juggling school, work, family, friend, and self care? Are you finding it harder than you anticipated to stay motivated and focused? Many college students realize once starting school, that moving away, making new friends, being alone for holidays, having additional responsibilies and independence can become very overwhelming and isolating. Working together we can process some of the changes and challenges that are coming up for you so you can adapt well and be able to enjoy the experience of college and self growth and development instead of being overwhelmed, lonely, or unsure of how to climb out of a pile of school work and responsibilites.
My goal is to help you find the freedom to be yourself. Oftentimes, people and circumstances we experience can change the way we perceive ourselves and our life. We can feel like we’ve lost our place in the world or lost a sense of who we are or want to be. My goal is to help you to overcome those obstacles through mindset work, problem solving, and boundary setting. You are unique and deserve to be able to express your individuality and live the best life possible.
