Hello! I’m Stephanie, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) dedicated to supporting adults as they navigate the complexities of mental health, trauma, and significant life changes. My journey in this field has been defined by a deep-seated belief in the resilience of the human spirit and a commitment to providing a nonjudgmental, empowering space where healing can truly begin. My Background and Expertise Background and Expertise My clinical foundation was built in the fast-paced, high-acuity environment of inpatient psychiatric hospitals across both the rural Amarillo region and the Austin Metroplex. Serving as a therapist, case manager, and court liaison, I have worked with patients facing some of life’s most challenging moments—from acute crisis intervention and short-term substance detox to the long-term management of chronic mood and psychotic disorders. This extensive background means that I am comfortable sitting with you through just about anything. Whether you are dealing with a recent crisis, navigating the heavy fog of grief and loss, or managing a chronic mental health condition that requires careful coordination and advocacy, I bring a wealth of systemic knowledge and clinical skill to our sessions. I understand the "social systems" of Texas and the unique obstacles our residents face, and I use that insight to help you navigate your own path to stability. My Therapeutic Approach I describe my style as eclectic, solution-focused, and deeply client-centered. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all "fix." Instead, I view therapy as a collaborative partnership. We will work together to identify your specific priorities and the barriers standing in your way. My approach is grounded in: Empowerment: I operate from a strengths-based perspective, helping you rediscover your internal resources. Holistic Wellness: I believe in looking at the whole person—your environment, your history, and your goals. Evidence-Based Skills: I integrate tools from Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Trauma-Focused CBT to provide you with practical strategies for daily life. What to Expect In our work together, you can expect directness tempered with deep empathy. I am a firm believer in "reality testing" and stabilization, helping you find a "new normal" that preserves your sense of self while improving your social functioning and personal satisfaction. Whether you need a space to process a specific traumatic event, a partner to help you set and reach life goals, or simply a confidential place to vent and debrief after a period of burnout, I am here to support you. Start Your Journey I know that seeking mental health care is a significant investment of your time, emotions, and resources. To ensure we are the right match, I offer a free 15-minute initial consultation. This is a pressure-free time for us to meet, discuss your expectations, and determine if my skill set aligns with your needs. My goal is to empower you to create a plan of action that leads exactly where you want to be. I look forward to meeting you and helping you build the resilience needed to move forward.

People come to me when they are looking for ways out of being trapped, depressed, anxious or stuck. I work with individuals who don't know how to be their true selves - it is my mission them find ways to live an authentic and empowered life. I am able to hold a lot of complexity and nuance for a variety of human needs and experiences. Especially close to my heart is working with the LGBTQ+ population, or anyone who feels they don't fit into what society, parents, friends, or others expect of them. I also enjoy existential deep dives and those who feel overwhelmed by their emotional landscape. You are the expert on yourself - my role is to help you uncover who that self truly is, and help you to respond to that self with courage, connection and authenticity.
Hi, I'm Stephanie. I believe therapy should feel supportive, safe, and focused on what matters most to you. My goal is to listen with care, help you build on your strengths, and give you tools that make life feel more manageable. Together, we'll work at a pace that feels comfortable so you can move toward positive change.
As a parent of a medically complex child and a person with my own chronic health conditions, I often see people become weary when navigating the chronic illness journey. Despite being smart, determined, strong, and compassionate, they begin to feel overwhelmed by life. They feel betrayed by their body. They are unsure of what abilities they, or their loved one, will have in the future and what that means for their sense of who they are. They face disappointment, anger, or judgement from friends and family who don’t understand the challenges they are facing. I want those fellow travelers to know: you deserve to find peace even in the midst of difficulty. You deserve to define and redefine who you are. Hope is not out of your reach. If you want to navigate uncertainty without losing yourself in the process, I’d love to help you. You don’t have to continue alone. Contact me to schedule a free 15 minute consultation to see how I can help.
Welcome to my practice! I specialize in treating trauma- and stressor-related disorders as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). Additionally, I focus on treating depressive and anxiety disorders, with a particular emphasis on women's mental health. With extensive experience helping college students and adults navigate life transitions, manage stress, and address relationship difficulties, I provide a safe space to explore emotions and develop healthy coping strategies. Central to my practice are the core values of empathy and genuine connection. I strive to create a therapeutic alliance where you feel heard, understood, and supported. Through open communication and collaboration, we can work together to navigate challenges, build resilience, and promote positive change.
You might look like you're holding it together on the outside, but internally things feel overwhelming. I work with teens and adults who are feeling stuck, emotionally exhausted, navigating major life changes, or carrying experiences from the past that continue to affect their daily lives. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, difficult relationships, or simply don't feel like yourself anymore, I'm here to help you reconnect with yourself and move forward. My goal is for you to feel more in control of your life. We’ll explore how your past influences your present, creating a safe space where you feel truly seen. Our time together is to help you discover the strength you already have in you to move forward with clarity and confidence. Taking the first step can feel intimidating, but you don't have to have everything figured out before we meet. Our first session is simply a chance for us to get to know each other, talk about what's bringing you to therapy, and begin creating a plan to move forward that feels right for you.
LET’S BE HONEST: Existing between worlds is exhausting. Co-existing in multiple worlds and cultures doesn’t come with a roadmap. The competing demands and expectations leave you feeling tugged in opposing directions, and you’re left with the feeling that no matter how hard you try, you’ll never be enough for anyone. Even though there are many people in your life, it feels like nobody from any ‘side’ really gets you, and you’re not sure where you truly belong. You’re tired of facing microaggressions when you’re out and about and obstacles to advancing at work. All this is impacting your relationship, where you’re struggling to communicate and feel a sense of togetherness across the divides.

I work closely with patients to develop treatment plans that align with their goals, values, and comfort level. By combining evidence-based practices with thoughtful discussion, I aim to support meaningful progress while maintaining safety, transparency, and respect. College can feel overwhelming. Many of the students I work with are dealing with anxiety, academic pressure, burnout, relationship stress, or uncertainty about their future. I work best with students who feel stuck, overthinking everything, or constantly stressed but still trying to hold it all together. Whether you’re struggling with motivation, confidence, major decisions, or the pressure to figure out your direction, therapy can help you regain clarity and control. My approach is practical, supportive, and focused on real-life tools you can use right away. We’ll work together to manage anxiety, improve coping skills, and create a clear path forward. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a school counselor helping students navigate academic stress, mental health challenges, and major life decisions. I also have experience working with student veterans and individuals adjusting to major life transitions. If you’re looking for a therapist who is easy to talk to and focused on real progress, I’d be glad to connect. Insurance is accepted through Headway and SonderMind. Please contact me to verify your specific plan and coverage.
Hi! My main goal is always to help my clients to help themselves, so you feel empowered to embrace stress and change as it comes. With experience working in an eating disorder hospital and 7 years working as a therapist in the Athletic Depts at UT Austin and CU Boulder, I've been involved with supporting my clients through the life challenges that high schoolers, young adults, and adults face for my entire professional career. I am EMDR certified and use this to treat trauma, eating disorders, chronic pain, urges in addiction/EDs, and sport performance (both positive reinforcement as well as treating mental blocks). I particularly enjoy teaching tools for navigating anxiety and depressive symptoms, helping to make peace with body image, and supporting mental performance for sport. I also have a passion for supporting perfectionists to expand their view of themselves and learn to release a little of the control that is actually controlling them!
Anxiety, trauma, and childhood wounds don’t just disappear. They sneak into daily life and make things feel heavier, even when nothing seems wrong. I work with teens and adults, often helping people whose feelings weren’t fully seen or supported growing up. Anxiety and trauma can show up as overthinking, perfectionism, people-pleasing, or that constant “something’s off” feeling. I take a warm, trauma-informed approach, moving at your pace so you can feel grounded, seen, and in charge of your life. I help teens and adults navigate anxiety, trauma, and childhood wounds using EMDR, Parts Work, somatic techniques, and CBT. Together we build coping skills, process difficult memories, and work toward healing. Therapy can be intense, but we also laugh, roll our eyes at anxiety, and celebrate small wins along the way. I help you care for the inner child you once needed, challenge the beliefs feeding anxiety, and rebuild self-worth. It’s okay if it’s messy, we will work through it together. Step by step, we’ll create space for calm, clarity, and connection. Reach out for a free consultation and let’s get started.
College can be exciting, overwhelming, and everything in between. It’s a time of big changes, big questions, and a lot of pressure—about who you are, where you belong, and whether you’re doing “enough.” I work with college students who are navigating anxiety, body image struggles, perfectionism, and that nagging feeling of not measuring up, even when everything seems fine on the outside. If you’re feeling stuck, anxious, or just off, therapy can be a space to slow down and figure out what’s really going on. Together, we’ll explore what matters to you and what helps you feel more like you. My approach is warm, supportive, and down-to-earth. Whether you’re on campus or away, we’ll work together to help you feel more confident, grounded, and connected—both to yourself and the life you’re building.

I offer medication management and supportive therapy. My goal is to help you overcome your mental health challenges and improve your well-being. My path started by working in alternative high schools, and then as a career counselor in management and business development roles for a few universities and military populations. I have over 18 years of experience working in education, career development, and mental health. My experience growing up in Flint, Michigan, and being the first in my family to attend college, shaped how I view and overcome challenges. I specialize in support for working professionals, especially teachers, nurses, and students with anxiety or depression who are struggling in their careers, education, or relationships. Many feel stuck, burnt out, angry, and overwhelmed. Chronic stress makes it hard for them to connect with their instructors, bosses, and peers. Time management is an issue and constantly trying to keep up. Some may prefer to be alone, even though it leads to ruminating over traumatic work experiences and substance use. My clients have demanding jobs and/or class schedules, and are highly trained and accustomed to solving problems. However, no one is immune to the long-term effects of stress and trauma. I have over 18 years working in counseling, higher education, and career development. My communication style is warm, yet solution-focused, often encouraging you to think from the end, build your resilience, and focus on the future. Some clients get what they need to make a positive change in 6-8 sessions. Others enjoy my long-term support to address trauma. First time trying talk therapy? Congrats on taking the first step. I value confidentiality and understand the college campus and workplace cultures. You do not have to go through this alone. Let's get you out of survival mode and start to thrive. Reach out to schedule your complimentary 15-minute consultation today. I look forward to talking with you.
