I am licensed in SD and PA with over 16 years of experience. I work with clients who face a variety of challenges. I work with teens, adolescents and women of all ages. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I tailor dialog and treatment plans to meet unique and specific goals. I believe you are the expert of your story and your strengths will assist you in overcoming challenges. Taking the first step toward therapy takes courage, be proud for getting started!
I specialize in helping adolescents and adults overcome the struggles of eating disorders, anxiety, depression, self-harm, and substance abuse. I help my clients learn concrete coping skills and effective ways to take control of their lives. The constant battle of obsessing over one's weight, the unrelenting state of panic and fear at times for no understood reason, and the feelings of shame and urges to self-destruct, don't have to be a part of your life. I've had the opportunity to successfully help people work through these issues and find peace and healing that they deserve. I love working with people with eating disorders because they are intelligent, kind-hearted, and often don't realize their potential and worth in the world. I understand the strength it takes to make the call to ask for help and the uncertainty that comes with starting the recovery process. After studying eating disorders and women's issues extensively and working for years at The Renfrew Center, a renowned residential eating disorder facility, I joined the Emotional Eating program at Princeton House Women's Programs. Providing a safe and validating space for others is a value of mine. This has lead me to pursuing a Doctorate in Psychology and thus far 8 years of experience. Throughout my training and career, I've always gravitated towards the college/graduate school population. I've especially appreciated working with students on relationships, identity, and self-love. Being a South-Asian, I've also enjoyed exploring cultural/ethnic/racial identity with clients. In a therapy session my approach is inviting, warm, curious, and a grounding presence. I strongly believe clients are experts on themselves; hence my approach to therapy is empowering and encouraging clients to lean into experiences to meet their goals. I like to use the metaphor that my clients are in the driver's seat and I'm there to support them as they explore where they want to go. Along with a multicultural lens, some therapeutic orientations I often pull from are CBT, ACT, and IFS. Gift-giving is important in many cultures and hence the gift I want to give clients is hope, validation, and safety. I also strive to plant the seeds of empowerment and self-love in clients and continue to nurture that together throughout our sessions. I encourage clients to try out various exercises/skills in between sessions to continue to meet their goals. Overall I hope a client leaves our sessions feeling supported, heard, and respected.
I work well with young adults struggling with anxiety, depression, anger, and with social problems. You may be overwhelmed by school, undecided about your future plans, in a bad relationship, suffering from loneliness, wondering what the point of it all is, having a hard time getting out of bed. If this sounds like you, give me a call. I want to help you find peace in your life.

Our mission is to help teens, adults, couples, and families reach their full potential through the process of talking, listening, and learning; all while seeking the Lord’s guidance through the process. We specialize in Depressive and Anxiety disorders as well as overall mental health. We believe a “whole person” approach is best and that you have to look at physical, mental, and spiritual components.
My goal as a therapist is to engage authentically, share honestly, and think openly. I have been fortunate to work with people in end of life care, chronic illness, grief and loss, incarceration, addiction, immigration, autism, depression, anxiety, trauma, and have spent most of my career supporting youth and families through a variety of life stages and challenges. I provide opportunities for people to engage in experiences that will expand their understanding, explore their circumstances, and develop resources for their unique journey. In sessions we talk and try new and creative things to help you heal, grow, learn, and move forward. We develop resources and practice skills to apply in your life. These can include emotional and physical pain management, healthy coping skills, improved communication, stress management, strengthening relationships, and processing loss and trauma. I am always willing to have a conversation through email, phone, or in person. I will gladly answer any question and address concerns you may be having. I am passionate about connecting people to resources. So, even if we are not an ideal fit, I will connect you to trusted therapists or service providers who will best meet your unique needs.
My goal is always to focus on making a client feel comfortable and safe as they work to improve their lives and make positive changes. I work from a Narrative therapy perspective, meaning I like to utilize the power of story with clients. I encourage clients to discover their authentic selves through exploration and honesty, and I strive to be my most authentic self in return. I borrow ideas and techniques from humanist and existentialist practices, prioritizing how an individual feels about themselves outside of societal constraints and structures. I have worked with individuals from all walks of life and value diversity in my personal and professional universe. I prioritize creating a welcoming and safe environment which provides the best circumstances to promote change. I offer primarily neuropsychological assessment to provide diagnostic clarity and to help you better understand how your brain functions. This may help you better understand your own unique way of learning, interacting with others, and handling life's challenges. With that enhanced understanding, you can more effectively take steps to improve your daily functioning and live a better and more fulfilling life. I do offer therapy for individuals dealing primarily with the challenges of life stress, anxiety, and low self-esteem. I also have extensive experience working with and helping those struggling with chronic health concerns and head injury related concerns.
It is the mission of Morris Cognitive Behavioral Consulting to meet clients where they are when they enter treatment and help them come to a place of radical acceptance of their current circumstances. Dr. Morris has an interactive, direct style that, at times, feels more like coaching than traditional psychotherapy. She focuses on enhancing a client’s motivation, as well as helping them find the balance between acceptance and change. Their goal is to locate the “gray area” between extremes in thinking, emotions, and behavior. It is these extremes, which lead to common problems in living, relationship difficulties, or severe mental and behavioral symptoms. Dr. Morris believes in doing more than helping individuals reduce troubling symptoms; she wants to help clients break free from ineffective behavioral patterns and, more importantly, truly heal. She is committed to teaching clients how to stop emotions from controlling their lives. She strives to help clients overcome barriers that keep them stuck in negative behaviors, life patterns, or relationships that hinder their ability to reach their desired goals and live fully. Dr. Morris channels her unrelenting energy, straightforward style, and radical genuineness to help shift clients into resolving these barriers and ineffective patterns. She hopes to enable clients to become more skillful in their everyday experience so they can be more effective at reaching their goals while, ultimately, creating lives worth living. Dr. Morris specializes in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) interventions, strength-based approaches that focus specifically on practical coping skill acquisition, which are uniquely tailored to each client's individual goals. She offers a range of evidence-based therapy, group, and consulting services to children, adolescents, adults, families, schools, and organizations.
